You are tired.
You've been tired for a while.
And now you're lying here.
And your mind will not stop.
The thoughts keep coming.
The things you did not finish.
The things you need to do tomorrow.
The things you cannot change tonight.
We can't stop thinking about.
And underneath all of it,
A frustration that's all its own.
Why can't I just sleep?
This is your EFT tapping session for restless nights.
Not to force sleep.
Not to silence your mind completely.
But to gently release the grip.
To let go.
To let it be.
It will help you move into a place.
Where nothing needs to be solved tonight.
And it's okay.
To drift off.
Find a comfortable position.
Let your body be heavy.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a long breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in.
And letting go.
One more time,
Inhale slowly.
And a long,
Complete exhale.
Relaxing fully into this moment.
Before we begin tapping.
I invite you to tune in.
And notice what is unsettling you.
Is it the busyness of your mind,
The restlessness in your body,
The frustration of lying awake when all you want to do is rest?
Give that feeling a number from 0 to 10.
10.
Being completely wired and unable to settle and Zero being calm and ready to sleep.
Note that number.
We're going to move it.
Bring your fingers to the karate chop point on the side of your hand.
I begin tapping gently,
Repeating after me.
Even though my mind won't settle tonight.
Even though my mind won't settle tonight.
I choose to let my body rest.
I choose to let my body rest.
Even though I'm still thinking about today.
Even though I'm still thinking about today.
I choose to let my body rest.
I choose to let my body rest.
Even though I'm frustrated that I can't sleep,
Even though I'm frustrated that I can't sleep,
I choose to let my body rest.
I choose to let my body rest.
Bring your fingers to the inner edge of your eyebrows and begin tapping softly,
Repeating after me.
This busy mind.
This busy mind.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
This tired body.
This tired body.
Tapping under the eye.
All these thoughts.
All these thoughts.
Tapping under the nose.
Still going.
It's still going.
Tapping on the chin.
I'm trying to switch it off I'm trying to switch it off.
Tapping on the collarbone.
It's frustrating.
It's frustrating.
Tapping under the arm.
Why can't I just sleep?
Why can't I just sleep?
Tapping on the top of the head.
This busy mind.
This tired body.
This busy mind.
This tired body.
Stop tapping.
Take a slow breath in.
And release it completely.
We'll move into the second round of tapping.
Starting with your eyebrow.
Nothing needs solving tonight.
Nothing needs solving tonight.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
It will still be there tomorrow.
It will still be there tomorrow.
Tapping under the eye.
Tonight is for rest.
Tonight is for rest.
Tap the under the nose.
I release today.
I release today.
Tapping on the chin.
I release tomorrow.
I release tomorrow.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I released the need to figure it out.
I release the need to figure it out.
Tapping under the arm.
Nothing needs solving tonight.
Nothing needs solving tonight.
Tapping on the top of the head.
I give myself permission to rest.
I give myself permission to rest.
Stop tapping.
Take a deep breath in.
And release it.
Slowly and completely.
Take another deep breath in.
And as you release.
Letting go of what you cannot control.
Being here,
Present in this moment.
We'll move into our final round of tapping.
Starting with the inner eyebrow.
Tapping and repeating after me I allow my body to rest.
I allow my body to rest.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
My body knows how to sleep.
My body knows how to sleep.
Tap it under the eye.
I trust it.
I trust it.
Tapping under the nose.
I am safe right now.
I am safe right now.
Tapping on the chin Everything is okay tonight.
Everything is okay tonight.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I allow myself.
To be here present in this moment.
I allow myself to be here,
Present in this moment.
Tapping under the arm.
I allow my body and mind to rest.
I allow my body and mind to rest.
Tapping on the top of the head.
I allow sleep to be my friend.
I allow sleep to be my friend.
Stop tapping.
Let your hands rest where they fall.
Take one slow breath in.
And a long,
Easy breath out.
Let your body sink a little heavier into the bed beneath you.
Let your face go soft.
Relax your jaw.
Let your shoulders release,
Your hands open and still.
Feel your whole body relaxing into the space.
Now check back in with that number from 0 to 10.
Where are you now?
Notice the shift.
Your mind a little quieter.
Your body a little heavier.
The frustration a little looser.
That is enough.
You do not need to fall asleep immediately.
You do not need to silence every thought.
You simply need to let your body rest while your mind finds its way to stillness.
And it will.
The thoughts that feel urgent tonight will still be available tomorrow.
They will not leave you.
And you'll be so much better at meeting them after a night of rest.
Than you are right now,
Here in the dark.
So for tonight.
Let your day go.
The tomorrow wait.
Let your body be heavy and your breath be slow.
And your mind drift wherever it needs to go on its way to sleep.
You are safe.
You are still.
And sleep is on its way to you.
