Let's start by taking a nice deep slow breath in and let it out slowly.
I'm guessing your mind probably feels kind of busy right now,
Like you've got a hundred tabs open on your desktop and none of them are fully loading.
Well,
You are not alone my friend.
That happens to all of us.
We live in a very busy,
Hectic,
Three-second world and it's important to remember that we all feel that way from time to time.
And it doesn't mean you're stuck,
Doesn't mean you're stalled.
It just means you need to take a little break and reset.
So I want to talk today about the difference between being busy and being truly productive.
A lot of people equate productivity with doing more,
Adding more tasks to their list so they can check them off,
Hustling harder,
Creating more pressure.
But the fact is real productivity is actually about doing less but with more intention.
So I want to walk you through today something simple that I call Simplify,
Clarify,
Amplify.
It's a really very uncomplicated system that requires just three small shifts.
Step one is to simplify.
Right now your brain might be just trying to manage too much.
So instead of asking yourself,
What do I have to get done today?
Ask yourself instead,
What actually matters if I get done today?
Choose just three things,
Not 10,
Not 15.
Choose your top three and cross everything else off for today.
Those three things are where your energy is going to go today.
Let's take a pause,
Take a nice long slow deep breath in and let it out slowly.
The second step is to clarify.
Unclear plans create resistance,
Confusion and overwhelm.
So instead of creating vague goals like,
I should work on my business,
Make it more specific.
Ask yourself,
What's one clear step I can take next that will make me,
If I finish it,
It'll really make me feel like I'm moving myself forward.
For instance,
Send the email you've been working on for the last two days.
Outline that blog article that you've been wanting to write for the last week.
Record that video that you want to upload and share with your audience.
Clarity removes friction.
Let's take one more deep breath in and let it out.
The last step is to amplify.
At the end of your day,
Your brain might try to tell you what you didn't do.
You might focus on all the tasks that you had,
Really wanted to get done and you just weren't able to get to.
So we're gonna flip that.
Ask yourself instead,
What did I do really well today?
Or what was that one thing I really wanted to get done and I did?
Even if it feels small,
Progress builds momentum and momentum builds confidence.
You don't need to be perfect every day.
Even with this simplified system,
You'll have days when you check off all three of your simplified tasks and you'll have days when you don't.
And on those days,
It's especially important to celebrate your small wins because our brains love it when we win.
When we achieve a goal,
No matter how small,
And we feel victorious,
Our brains produce a chemical called dopamine which is associated with feelings of rewards,
With motivation,
And with being productive.
So by celebrating your wins,
You're producing more dopamine and then you're setting yourself up for the next win,
And the next win,
And the win after that.
So you see,
You don't need more time or a complicated success plan.
You just need a simpler way forward.
Three things,
One clear step,
And a moment to recognize and celebrate your progress.
Let's take one last deep breath in,
And let it go.
Congratulations,
You're already moving forward.
