Hi,
Darling.
Welcome in.
If you're here today.
There's a good chance your mind is doing what?
ADHD minds often do.
Jumping ahead.
Looking back,
Making List Remembering something from 3 weeks ago.
.
.
Wondering what you forgot?
Thinking about dinner.
And maybe three other things all at the same time.
And if that's you.
.
.
I want you to know something.
I know this feeling all too well.
I have ADHD too.
I know what it's like to have a mind that rarely sits still.
To feel pulled in 10 different directions all at once.
To have thoughts stacking on top of thoughts.
Feel overwhelmed by all the tabs open in your mind.
So if you're feeling scattered today.
You're not alone.
There's nothing wrong with you.
Before we do anything else.
See if you can find a comfortable position.
Whatever feels best for you today.
Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
And simply let yourself be.
Right here.
Right now.
Maybe place one hand over your heart.
And one over the belly.
Just feeling the rise and the fall of your breath.
Allowing your body to feel grounded.
Supported and safe to stay.
Even when your mind wants to wander somewhere else.
Take a slow breath in.
And let it go.
Again,
Breathing in.
.
.
Breathing out.
You do not have to organize it all right now.
You don't have to close every tab.
You certainly don't have to figure everything out.
Before the next few moments.
Simply pause.
And as you sit here,
I want to invite you to find the busy part of yourself.
The part that is always thinking.
Always planning.
Always trying to stay one step ahead.
Ahead.
Just notice it without judgment.
Without trying to change it.
Simply become curious and gently ask this part of yourself.
.
.
What are you trying to do for me?
You don't have to force an answer.
Just notice whatever comes up.
You Deep breath in slow breath out And now ask yourself.
.
.
What are you afraid would happen if you stopped?
Again,
Simply listen.
Simply noticed.
Here's the thing,
Darling.
This busy part isn't bad.
It isn't broken.
It's not something that needs to disappear.
That has been trying to help you.
In the best way it knows how.
And today.
You don't have to make it.
That part hide.
You don't have to push it away.
You don't have to shame it for being busy.
Instead.
We can embrace it.
We can thank it.
We can appreciate how hard it has been working.
And we can gently remind it.
But it does not have to carry everything.
Right now.
Take a slow breath in.
Let it go.
Again,
Breathing in.
.
.
Breathing out.
Notice that the thoughts may still be here The tabs may still be open.
That's okay.
The goal was never to make them disappear.
The goal was simply to create a little space around them.
A little more understanding and compassion.
And maybe today.
.
.
Button up.
Take another slow breath in.
.
.
Feeling chest.
In the belly.
And let it all go.
.
.
Shoulder softens,
Jaw relaxes Just letting yourself arrive right here.
Just reminding yourself.
I do not have to do everything right now.
One thing at a time.
I can pause.
I can breathe.
I can begin again.
Take one final deep breath in.
.
.
Slowly breathing out.
Remember,
Darling.
The goal isn't to quiet every thought.
It's to offer yourself compassion when they get loud.
Because you don't have to close every tab in the mind.
You only need to return to the one you are in.
You
