Welcome to the guided meditation.
Today's theme is Shine from Within.
Sitting up tall,
Keeping your back straight,
Relax your shoulders,
Relax your jaw.
Placing your hands on your thighs,
Palms facing up.
Closing your eyes.
Today we will take a peaceful journey into a golden summer morning.
Where the warmth of the sun and the quiet strength of the sunflower remind us how to find light,
Hope and joy within ourselves.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose.
And gently breathe out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in through your nose.
And breathe out through your mouth,
Letting your shoulders soften.
One more deep breath in.
And slowly exhale.
Allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm.
With each breath,
Feel yourself becoming a little more relaxed.
A little more present.
A little more peaceful.
Now imagine that it is a beautiful July morning.
The sky is a brilliant shade of blue.
The air is fresh and comfortably warm.
A gentle summer breeze brushes against your face.
You are standing at the edge of a peaceful field.
Stretching as far as you can see.
Before you is a sea of beautiful sunflowers.
Hundreds of golden blooms sway gently in the breeze.
Take a moment to notice their bright yellow petals,
Their rich brown centers,
Their tall green stems.
Every sunflower is unique.
Yet,
Each one quietly turns towards the sun.
As you begin walking through the field,
Notice the soft earth beneath your feet.
Listen to the birds singing nearby.
Perhaps you hear the gentle buzzing of bees moving from flower to flower,
Flower to flower.
Everything feels calm,
Safe and peaceful.
As you continue walking,
The warmth of the July sun gently touches your face.
It is not too hot.
It feels comforting.
Like a loving embrace.
Imagine this warm sunlight flowing down over the top of your head,
Softening your forehead,
Relaxing your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your neck.
Your shoulders.
Allow the sunlight to continue flowing through your arms,
Your hands.
Your chest.
Your back.
Your hips.
Your legs,
All the way to your feet.
With every breath,
The sunlight fills your whole body with warmth and peace.
Now stop beside one magnificent sunflower.
Notice how it naturally follows the light.
It doesn't struggle.
It doesn't rush.
It simply trusts the sun.
And gently turns towards it.
Ask yourself quietly.
What light do I want to turn toward in my own life?
Perhaps it is kindness,
Perhaps gratitude,
Hope,
Peace,
Joy,
Or simply taking better care of yourself.
There is no right answer.
Simply notice what comes to you.
Now imagine that you are becoming like this sunflower.
Your feet grow gentle roots into the earth.
You feel grounded,
Steady,
Supported.
No matter what winds have blown through your life,
You remain standing,
Strong,
Resilient,
Rooted.
Above you,
The golden July sun continues to shine.
The sun does not choose where to shine.
It shares its light freely.
Imagine that this beautiful sunlight is now shining inside your heart.
With every breath in,
Your heart becomes brighter.
With every breath out,
You release worry,
Tension,
And heaviness.
Silently repeat after me,
I am filled with light.
I am rooted in peace.
I choose joy.
I welcome each new day with hope.
Now imagine your heart becoming like a sunflower.
Or book war welcoming.
Every challenge you have faced has helped you grow.
Every season has taught you something.
Like the sunflower,
You continue reaching towards the light.
Take a few quiet moments to simply rest in this peaceful field.
Feel the warmth of the sun.
Feel the gentle breeze.
Feel the quiet strength of the sunflowers around you.
Know that this feeling of peace is always within you wherever life feels difficult.
You can close your eyes.
Take a deep breath.
And remember this beautiful July morning.
Remember that just like the sunflower,
You can always turn towards the light.
Take one slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Begin to notice the chair supporting you.
Notice your feet resting on the floor.
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes.
Turning your neck from side to side,
Left to right,
And right to left,
And coming back to the center.
Bringing your palms together and rub,
Rub,
Rub.
Placing your palms on your eyes.
Slowly.
When you're ready,
Bring your palms down and you may open your eyes.
Carry the warmth of the sun,
The strength of the sunflower.
And light within your own heart.
With you throughout the rest of your day.
This is Natasha.
Thank you.
