Welcome to this yoga nidra practice co-created with Mother Nature.
Welcome home.
You might like to find a place to rest outside.
Or you can simply imagine that you're resting in your favorite place in nature.
Either way you can make yourself comfortable now.
And when you've found a good resting position.
You can take a deep inhale through your nose.
Filling up the body with air.
And sigh out through the mouth.
Softening into the support beneath.
Into her loving embrace She's been waiting for you.
And with eyes gently open or closed.
You might like to take in the space around you.
To breathe it in.
Perhaps becoming aware of the constant exchange of breath.
Happening between you.
And the plants and trees Can you notice any sense?
Carried to you by the wind.
And how does it feel when air touches your skin?
And how does it feel when air enters and leaves your body?
And what does she sound like?
The Great Mother.
What earthly vibrations are reaching your ears right now?
Just like the whole of you is welcome here.
Can you let the sounds that arise around you?
Be welcomed into this experience as well.
And maybe you can notice now that you are horizontal.
What does that feel like?
And can you,
If just for this moment?
Let her carry the full weight of your body.
And receive her support.
Can you leave all doing and performing behind?
Because she requires nothing else from you.
Than your full presence.
So can you be here?
Now.
And can you notice where your body is being held?
Can you feel how certain body parts connect with the earth?
Perhaps the back or side of your head.
Your shoulder blades or shoulder.
The sacrum or hip.
The calves.
And heals.
And if you like.
You can imagine sending roots from these points of connection deep down into the soft fertile earth.
Feeling how your breath and your heartbeat become one with hers.
You are her.
She is you.
There is no separation.
There never was.
And there never will be.
So you can draw up her life-giving energy through these roots into your body allowing every cell to be nourished.
And restored.
And if you land with your awareness in your heart space for a moment feeling the gentle pulsation of breath and blood.
You might like to open up your heart.
To receive her unconditional love.
And to listen.
For her wisdom.
And guidance.
In a wordless moment.
And now,
Perhaps.
You can let her abundant love.
Be felt in each body part.
As it softens into rest.
Where you might have been holding tension,
Rigidity or control before.
A wildflower might blossom in its place.
Your crown of head adorned with wildflowers.
Your forehead and eyebrows.
A wildflower blossoming at the space between your eyebrows.
At the temples and ears,
The eyelids.
And nose.
On your lips.
And sing.
Wildflowers adorning your neck.
The right shoulder.
Upper arm,
Elbow crease,
Forearm.
The tip of the right thumb,
Index finger,
Long finger,
Ring finger and little finger.
In the palm of your right hand.
While flowers blossom.
And in the pit of your throat.
On your left shoulder as well.
Wild flowers bloom as it softens into deeper rest.
Your upper arm,
Elbow crease,
Forearm.
The tip of your left thumb,
Index finger,
Long finger,
Ring finger a little finger.
And wildflowers blossoming in the palm of your left hand.
On your collarbones and chest.
On the right breast and the left on your sternum.
And rib cage to the belly.
And grinds.
The right thigh softening.
Blossoming.
The knee.
Shin.
And ankle.
The big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth,
And fifth.
Your pubic bones.
And full bloom.
Left thigh.
Shin.
And ankle.
Covered.
With wildflowers.
The top of the foot.
And the big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth.
And fifth the whole front of the body.
Covered with wildflowers.
Opening to the sky.
The back rooting down,
Softly melting into the ground.
And how would it feel to breathe in the sky?
Perhaps expanding with each inhale.
To hold more.
Becoming lighter.
More spacious.
With each inhale.
Like you could eventually.
Just float away and then exhaling back.
Into the support beneath.
Feeling how you're contracting back.
Into yourself.
And into the earth.
With each breath out.
Resting deeper into the grounding energy that's holding you.
And keeping you softly anchored.
But then,
It's always interesting explore what it's like.
To be heavily grounded.
And spaciously expanded.
At the same time.
And then neither light.
Or heavy.
Spacious.
Are grounded.
You can simply rest here Breathing and receiving just the way you are and that is more.
Then enough.
But can you imagine?
How beautiful you look right now.
This dreamscape of your imagination.
Resting in nature.
Covered with wildflowers Perhaps it fills your heart with joy.
Or some other sensation.
Take a moment to land with your awareness there.
In your heart space.
And let the love of mother nature fill you up.
And raise your frequency even higher.
Maybe there is some wisdom or guidance that she wants to share with you.
Perhaps she wants to show you a plant or a flower.
That you can work with.
That will elevate your magic.
Vitality.
Empower.
And before you return back.
To everyday consciousness.
You might like to find a way to thank her.
For the love and nourishment.
She offers you.
Every single moment.
Of your life.
Remember,
She is you.
You are her.
Inseparable from each other.
And now she welcomes you back to wakefulness.
It is time to come back.
Come back.
Come back.
Perhaps you can recall.
The space around you.
And open up all your senses.
Is it the touch of clothes on your skin that call you back?
Are the sounds that can be heard all around you.
Is it the expansion and contraction?
Of your breath or a lingering scent that awakens your consciousness.
Wake yourself up gently and lovingly.
And stretch and wiggle about in any way that delights your body.
Cycle of this yoga nidra.
Has come to a close.
Thank you.
And farewell,
Earth-child.
