Opening The Heartdoor Through Metta With Sound Bath
by Michael Ward
Opening the Heartdoor Through Metta is a guided loving-kindness meditation designed to cultivate compassion, warmth, and emotional openness. Beginning by resting gently at the “heartdoor,” this practice invites you to offer kindness first toward yourself before gradually extending it outward. Through a series of compassionate reflections, you will be guided to offer loving kindness to yourself, someone you care for, a neutral person, someone with whom you experience difficulty, and finally return that kindness to yourself. This widening and returning circle creates space to explore compassion without requiring you to change or resolve difficult emotions. Accompanied by a gentle sound bath, this meditation supports self-compassion, emotional awareness, empathy, and a greater sense of connection. It is suitable for both new and experienced meditators and can be practiced whenever you need a moment to soften, reconnect, and open the heart.
