Wherever you are,
Take a few moments to get comfortable.
Whether you're sitting or laying down,
Simply notice the sensation of your body pressing into the chair beneath you,
Allowing you to feel supported by your environment,
Bringing your energy into this present moment.
Become aware of your breath as you breathe in.
Consciously bring your whole presence down into your body.
So often we spend our time in our minds,
Like in the attics of our homes.
Imagine opening that door,
Coming down,
Walking into every room and filling each one with your light.
Bring our attention back to the breath,
Breathing in,
Feeling life and expansion,
Breathing out to relax.
As you watch the breath move through you,
Notice the feeling of the cool air as it enters your lungs,
Filling your body with life-giving oxygen,
Breathing out,
Continuing to soften any tension that arises.
And without any judgment,
Simply observe the sensations that arise,
Letting go of the desire to change what is.
Simply allow these sensations to be here and now,
And to be felt just as they are.
You're safe to do so.
In this process of letting go and allowing opens the door to healing.
As you take another deep breath in,
Your chest rise,
Gently expand.
And on the exhale,
Allow your body to soften all the way from the crown of your head to your toes.
And as you breathe in,
Visualize a light deep inside your heart glowing brighter and brighter,
With each breath becoming more radiant,
Like a spiral galaxy.
Each breath spinning trails of stars on the central sun deep in the core of your heart.
Now imagine that light flooding your entire body,
Sending it wave after wave of love and compassion,
Thanking your body for carrying you through this world.
For a little while longer,
Simply breathe conscious attention down into your entire body,
Inside your heart,
Slowly expand.
