The Space Where You Stop Gripping
There is a place, just past the holding on, where the hand finally opens. This practice is about finding that place. We notice where you have been gripping, in the jaw, the shoulders, the chest, the quiet effort of keeping everything in hand. And then, slowly, we let the grip soften. Not all at once, and not by force. Just a little loosening with each breath, until there is space where the tension used to be. You do not have to hold it all together right now. Settle in, breathe out, and let your hands, and the rest of you, gently open.
