Find a comfortable seated position.

Rest your hands on your knees,

Palms facing up.

A gentle gesture of openness and receiving.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and a full exhale through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale,

Exhale completely.

One last time,

Breathe in deeply and let it go.

Let your breath settle naturally.

Let your body soften.

Let your mind be still.

This moment is yours.

Now gently bring your awareness to gratitude.

What are you thankful for right now?

It could be something simple,

A quiet morning,

A warm beverage,

The light pouring through your window.

Bring your attention to your body,

This strong,

Beautiful vessel that carries you every day.

Thank your breath,

Your heart,

Your strength.

Feel your body receive this gratitude.

Think of your home,

Whatever that means to you.

The safety,

The warmth,

The comfort.

You are held.

You are safe.

Bring to mind someone you love,

Someone who brings light into your life.

Let gratitude for them fill your heart.

Now think of something that sparks joy,

A moment,

An experience,

Something that makes your spirit come alive.

Hold it in your heart.

Let that joy expand through your entire body like a golden light flowing from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes.

Let this light cleanse and uplift you.

Let it remind you.

You are not just surviving.

You are alive.

Breathe in this truth and exhale with a soft sigh.
