Allow your spine to lengthen.
Your shoulders to soften.
And your hands to rest with ease.
If it feels comfortable,
Gently close your eyes.
Bring your attention to your breath.
There's nothing to change.
Simply notice each inhale.
And each exhale.
Notice any areas of tightness or tension in your body.
Without trying to fix them.
Simply allow them to be here.
Now take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Letting your belly gently expand.
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
With every inhale,
Invite a little more calm.
With every exhale.
Allow your body to soften.
If your mind wanders,
Simply notice it.
And gently return to your breath.
Now bring your right hand to your face.
Placing your thumb over your right nostril and ring finger over your left.
Close the right nostril and inhale through the left for four.
Hold for 4.
Release the right nostril and exhale for four.
Inhale through the right for four.
.
.
Hold for 4.
Release the left nostril and exhale for 4.
Lower your hand.
And return to breathing naturally.
Through both nostrils.
Take one deep breath in.
Hold it for just a few moments.
And as you hold your breath,
Silently repeat,
I am enough.
I am safe.
I am love.
Now slowly exhale.
Releasing tension.
Stress.
And anything you no longer need to carry.
Take one more slow,
Nourishing breath in.
And sigh it out.
Again.
A deep inhale.
And a long,
Gentle sigh.
Notice how your body feels now.
Notice the space you've created with just a few mindful breaths.
Carry this feeling of calm,
Safety,
And self-compassion with you into the rest of your day.
When you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes and slowly open your eyes.
