Hello and welcome.

My name's Louise Anne and I'm so glad that you've chosen to be here.

I guide meditations that draw from both ancient traditions and modern understandings of the nervous system,

Helping people reconnect with nature,

Restore inner stillness and rest deeply.

Whether you're new to meditation or have been practicing for years,

Tonight's session is a chance to return to something both vast and intimate,

Your natural rhythm,

Supported by the quiet wisdom of the earth.

In this session we'll use guided imagery,

Breath work and gentle grounding to help you transition into sleep,

Inspired by the timeless calm of a starry night.

This is your time to let go,

To release the day's thoughts and return to something older,

Something quieter,

The rhythm of the earth.

Tonight we will drift into sleep beneath an open sky,

A sky scattered with stars,

Eternal and ever-present.

Let their ancient light guide you into deep rest.

For millennia our ancestors have found meaning,

Comfort and perspective beneath the same night sky.

Tonight we do the same,

Letting the starlight soothe us and silence the mind.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.

Move around to ensure you're in a position that will allow you to drift off to sleep.

Close down your eyes and let your body be fully supported.

Allow your arms to rest and your legs to gently fall into a natural position.

Loosen your jaw,

Soften the space between your eyebrows.

Feel the weight of your body supported by the earth.

There is no need to hold anything now,

You are safe to let go.

Begin to bring your awareness to your breath,

No need to change it,

Just notice it.

Feeling the air as it enters and as it gently leaves.

Try now to build a steady rhythm and extend your exhale.

So breathe in for three and breathe out for four.

And now let's see if you can extend it even further.

Breathing in for three and out for five.

Let the inhale fill your chest and let the exhale melt your body into the earth.

Inhale calm,

Exhale release.

Now let your natural breath return,

Soft and effortless.

Let each inhale feel like a night breeze filling your lungs.

Let each exhale be a release,

A letting go of today's weight.

Tonight I invite you to fall asleep as though you were lying beneath the stars.

Let your mind's eye open and picture yourself outdoors,

Wrapped in a soft blanket lying on the warm earth.

The grass beneath your head is thick and lush,

Cool and springy like nature's pillow.

A warm breeze falls over your skin which helps you feel safe and comfortable.

You feel your body begin to relax.

Above you the moon casts a gentle silver light across the landscape,

A soft companion in the night.

And a vast sky unfurls,

Black velvet dotted with countless stars.

Some shine sharp and white,

Small dots of bright light.

Others glow softly,

Golden,

Moving gently as though they are breathing in and out.

Further away the stars seem fainter,

More distant,

As though they belong to another time or another universe entirely.

Here beneath the sky,

You are exactly where you need to be.

Nothing more is needed.

The Milky Way stretches across the sky like a river of ancient light.

The air is still and peaceful,

With only the quiet hum of nocturnal life in the distance.

Each star is a point of presence,

A reminder that you are part of something timeless.

Notice the stars above you.

Where are you being drawn towards?

As you continue to gaze upwards,

You begin to feel small in the most comforting way.

The stars expect nothing of you.

They simply shine and invite you to rest.

Let go now of all urgency,

Of all thought.

There is no schedule,

No pressure,

No unfinished task under this sky.

Only stillness.

Here and there you notice clusters of stars,

Constellations quietly watching over the world.

Perhaps you recognise a constellation above,

The same one that guided ancient travellers across deserts and oceans.

It's been there long before you and will remain long after,

And yet tonight it's here for you.

Let yourself soften and relax into the gentle night.

If any thoughts arise,

Imagine them drifting into the sky and dissolving among the stars.

With every breath,

Your body feels heavier,

More at ease,

As if the stars themselves are holding you in place.

Let your thoughts become softer now,

Growing quieter and fainter with each passing moment.

Let the stars watch over you.

There is nothing more to do now.

Let your breath be slow and easy.

Let your thoughts drift.

Feel the stars above,

Patient and gentle.

Their light has travelled across time and space just to brush the tops of your eyelids.

You are safe,

You are connected,

You are starlight and you are allowed to rest.
