Let us start with changing our own minds and our own hearts—then the world we experience will change. A daily practice is just the beginning, and most of all, we need love for others, remembering that these meditations are for them. Today, we create a special space at home for our practice. Clean and clear a place that is comfortable, quiet, and light, so you can focus on what is most meaningful to your life. Before sitting, think of those who have helped you find peace, love, and joy, and play something that honors them. As we prepare our surroundings, we prepare to go deeper into our hearts. In stillness, find a very comfortable position—we must be comfortable to meditate.

Let us start with changing our own minds,

Our own hearts.

Then the world that we experience will change.

A daily practice is just the beginning.

Most of all,

We need to have love for others and that we are doing these meditations for others.

And we shall benefit greatly.

We need to work on our own minds,

Our own hearts,

To help others.

Today,

We will create a space at home to do our daily practice.

There are six preliminaries.

Cleaning up a space in your own home.

It's important to create a clear space so that you can concentrate.

Find a place in your home that is comfortable,

Quiet,

And light.

Your home reflects how we are feeling.

Take the time to clean up the place.

Make it something special.

This is the space you will have to focus on something very meaningful to your life.

Before you sit down,

Take a moment and think about anyone in your life who has helped you.

Especially,

They have helped you to find peace,

And love,

And joy.

Place something in the space around you that honors those people who have helped you.

This is a great way to start your meditation.

We prepare our surroundings so we can go deeper into our hearts.

Think of somebody in your life that has some qualities that you wish to have.

Once you have found that space in your home where you can sit quietly in stillness,

Find a very comfortable position.

We must be comfortable to meditate.
