Welcome to Rooted Growth.
A place where you're invited to slow down,
Soften,
And reconnect.
My name is Lisa,
And I'm so glad you're here.
You know,
Life has a way of surprising us.
Sometimes with joy.
Sometimes with heartbreak.
Sometimes with a phone call,
A diagnosis,
A difficult conversation.
Or just a change that we never saw coming.
None of us are immune to this.
We all have moments that just stop us in our tracks and remind us that life is not something we control.
Something we experience.
And yet in those moments,
I don't know about you,
But I always forget the one thing that can steady me.
This breath,
Right here,
Right now.
So take a slow breath in.
And gently let it go.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
And I suspect that whatever brought you here today has not changed.
The circumstances will still be waiting for you when you finish this short meditation.
But for the next few minutes,
You don't have to solve anything.
Figure anything out.
You simply have permission to be here.
So let your shoulders soften,
Unclench your jaw.
And breathe a little more deeply.
I'd like to offer this centering thought as we begin our meditation.
Life doesn't always unfold according to my plans.
But I can meet this moment with presence,
Compassion,
And trust.
Life doesn't always unfold according to my plans.
But I can meet this moment with presence.
Compassion.
And trust.
And as you begin your meditation,
I'll offer this short mantra if it would be helpful.
This moment matters.
This moment matters.
So please continue your meditation.
I'll mind the time,
Starting and ending with this soft bell.
As we bring our meditation to close,
Notice how you feel.
Perhaps nothing outside of you has changed,
But maybe something inside has softened just a little bit.
Remember,
Life is not made up of big milestones.
It's also made up of ordinary breaths taken during extraordinary moments.
Life doesn't always unfold according to my plans,
But I can meet this moment with presence,
Compassion,
And trust.
Thank you so much for your practice today.
May you move gently through whatever life is asking of you.
