This audio contains the third step prayer from the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book.
It's helpful to understand that this prayer is to be taken after we understand and are convinced of three pertinent ideas.
The first,
That we were alcoholic and could not manage our own lives.
The second,
That probably no human power could have relieved our alcoholism.
The third,
That God could and would if he were sought.
Being convinced of these,
We are now at step three,
Where we decide to turn our will and our life over to God as we understand God.
Many of us said to our maker as we understood him,
God,
I offer myself to thee to build with me and to do with me as thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do thy will.
Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of thy power,
Thy love,
And thy way of life.
May I do thy will always.
