Drop your shoulders.
You are safe here.
Imagine yourself in a peaceful,
Cozy room.
The walls are soft in color.
The air is warm and comforting.
In the middle of the room is a couch.
As you sit down on this couch.
You realize.
That this is the type of couch that hugs your body.
And allows you to feel safe,
Secure,
Protected,
And cozy.
As you settle in,
Allow a soft golden light to fill the room.
This light surrounds you,
Carrying with it warmth,
Safety,
And unconditional love.
You are safe here.
You belong here,
In this quiet,
Peaceful room.
Now when you feel ready,
Invite your inner child into the room.
They may be a very young version of you at two years old.
Or maybe they're eight or nine.
Or even a teenager or early 20s.
Let this beautiful child know that they are safe here.
They belong here,
In this room with you.
And invite them to come sit beside you on this warm,
Cozy couch.
If they'd like,
They can hold your hand,
They can hug you,
And they can sit as close or as far away as they prefer.
Repeat these words to them.
You are safe here with me.
You are worthy of love.
You are enough.
You are perfect,
Just as you are.
Allow yourself to be supportive and fully present for this beautiful child.
Let this cozy,
Warm room be one of healing,
Safety,
And peace for both of you.
If there is anything that needs to be released,
Like pain,
Fear,
Or loneliness.
Anything that you or your inner child would like to let go of.
Imagine it lifting from their small body like mist.
Dissolving into the golden light around you.
Repeat these words for yourself and your inner child.
