Welcome to day 29 of our 30-day meditation challenge.
Today we'll be practicing effortless presence.
So find that posture that lets you feel supported in your practice and helps you maintain that balance between being both supported and alert and also at ease.
So perhaps that's seated,
Sitting upright.
Or it could also be laying down or even standing with your back against a wall.
I invite you to close your eyes or just to bring the gaze down a quarter of the way open with the eyes,
Just gazing down towards the floor.
Finding this effortless presence in our practice.
So taking that slow,
Deep breath in through the nostrils.
And letting it out through the nostrils.
And now allowing that breath to just return to its natural rhythm.
And noticing how it is right now for your body in space.
Notice if there are any parts that are trying to do the practice just right.
Or sit just right.
And if you notice any of that constriction,
Any of that.
.
.
Tendency to fix.
Just reducing your effort.
Seeing what it would be like just to allow everything to be just as it is.
Just leaving everything just as it is.
Breath happening.
Sounds arising.
Thoughts moving through.
And awareness knowing.
Practicing this effortless presence.
Just waking up.
What's right here,
Right now.
Allowing the mind and body to be at home,
Settled,
In this moment,
In this place,
In this time.
Nothing to control.
Allowing yourself to rest in the mind.
That simply knows that the present moment is like this.
Just effortlessly resting.
Just like arriving home after a long day.
Letting go of all effort.
And allowing the body to settle deeply into presence.
And noticing how the body feels now.
Thank you for practicing with me on day 29 of our meditation challenge.
And I do hope that you'll join me again tomorrow.
Namaste.
