Welcome to a journey of self-discovery.
A journey of enlightenment.
I am Laurel,
And I appreciate your presence,
Your heart,
And your full being.
In this meditation,
We will embark on a journey of self-discovery where I will guide you to connect with and receive guidance and wisdom from the field of consciousness,
Your highest self,
Or God.
Prepare to enter a realm of pure bliss and relaxation where your worries,
Stress,
And tension step aside and allow you to access the higher knowing and wisdom that is always available from your highest self.
Throughout this meditation,
We will use breath as a means to release the ties that keep you from accessing this higher self,
This higher knowing.
Breathing brings you to the present because you cannot breathe in the past or in the future.
It is a way to bring you into the present moment.
Paying attention to each breath in the present moment causes you to forget about the troubles of the past and the worries of the future.
I use breath work throughout my meditations to assist in bringing your awareness to the here and now.
If during this meditation you find your thoughts wandering to the past,
Or if you find yourself worrying about the future or something that you need to do,
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath as you notice your body's response to it.
Allow your focus to return to your breath and remind yourself to stay present in the here and now.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and become aware of your body.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in as you allow the oxygen to enter your lungs.
Exhale long and slow as you release any tension,
Stress,
Or worry that may be held in various parts of your body.
With every breath you receive,
Visualize it being received as a form of energy into your lungs.
Visualize this energy being absorbed by your lungs,
Passed to your bloodstream,
And distributed to every part of your body,
Including your brain.
Consciously receive every molecule of air into every cell.
For a moment,
Place your hand on your heart.
Continue to breathe long,
Slow,
Deep inhales and long,
Slow exhales as you consciously bring awareness to the warmth that is radiating from your center.
As you focus your attention on your heart center,
Visualize happy,
Pleasant images that represent personally to you the essence of happiness,
Love,
Comfort,
And joy.
You may remove your hand from your heart at any time.
From this place of centered awareness,
Where your worries and stress drift away and your being is filled with happiness and joy,
You begin to have access to self.
Access to the parts of you that are not clouded with past experiences.
The parts of you that feel nothing but pure presence,
Curiosity,
Creativity,
And love.
Stress is often caused by worrying about the things we think we have to get done.
The reason we feel so strongly that these things must get done,
However,
Is because some event in our past taught us that there would be unpleasant outcomes if we failed to fulfill this expectation.
When we bring ourselves to the present moment,
These worries derived from past experiences cease to hold meaning.
Continue to visualize happy,
Pleasant,
Joyful images as you allow your thoughts to form.
It is normal for thoughts to come when we stop and sit still in this way.
Like images passing by,
Watch the thoughts,
Notice them,
Feel curiosity and gratitude for them,
But allow them to pass and drift into the distance as you continue being present and focusing on your breath.
As you continue to remain aware of the warmth and energy that is radiated by your heart center,
Visualize this energy expanding as if it is a light source that becomes brighter and brighter until this light encompasses your entire body and beyond.
Imagine the warmth of this light as it envelops your body like a soft warm blanket of protection that no negativity can enter.
Feel the vibration radiating from your entire body as it is held in this warm,
Soft,
Comforting blanket of energy and light.
As you now sit enveloped by this warm,
Soft,
Comforting blanket of energy and light,
Notice any parts of your body that may be experiencing discomfort.
Notice any sensations that may be unpleasant.
Witness any part of your body that wants to move or twitch.
Notice any pains or tension.
Can you stay curious toward these sensations or pains rather than frustrated or annoyed?
Can you witness and feel them without judgment?
Can you feel and witness these sensations while still remaining heart-centered?
Your nervous system serves many functions,
One of which is to keep you safe.
It prevents further injury by giving you sensations that trigger actions.
By giving you feedback through sensations that bring awareness to pain or potential injury,
Your nervous system lets you know that you need to remove your hand from a hot stove or that the coffee or tea are too hot to drink.
This is incredibly beneficial to you and is something to be grateful to your beautiful,
Wise body for.
Your nervous system also retains memory,
Memory of past experiences.
The pains or tension that you may feel in your body right now are not likely actually about the now.
Imagine your hand held tightly in a fist for only a moment.
Little to no pain would result,
But imagine if you were to hold your hand tightly in a fist for many hours.
In time,
Your hand would begin to ache.
The longer you held this tension in your fist,
The longer the pain or discomfort would persist even after releasing the tension.
In a similar way,
Past experiences programmed into us a belief that we had to hold tension in a certain part of our body in order to protect ourselves.
Your beautiful,
Intelligent body does this in response to the thoughts and beliefs that you developed in these past experiences.
Your system is only trying to protect itself and has good intentions,
But consistent tension held in a part of the body,
Like the clenched fist,
In time will result in pain or dis-ease.
Become aware of any pains or discomfort that you may currently feel in your body.
Remain curious toward it.
Consider this idea that the pain or discomfort that you feel may be the result of your unknowingly having held tension in that area of your body for many years.
Consider the potential reality that the pain of which you suffer has been caused by past traumas or events that drove a belief that resulted in your holding tension in your neck,
Your shoulder,
Your hip,
Your foot.
Continue to breathe long,
Slow,
Deep inhales and long,
Slow exhales as you ponder on this possibility while continuing to visualize your body enveloped in this radiant,
Glowing body of light.
Remain curious and loving toward this pain or sensation,
And in your mind,
Ask it what it wants you to know.
Every sensation in the body has a story.
It has a memory,
A narrative of why it holds this tension.
As you remain curious,
Loving,
And grateful toward the pain or sensation,
You remain open to hear its story.
The answers you receive may not always be clear or immediately understood.
Memories or story may very well come from a time so distant in your past or from your childhood before you had the context with which to make sense of it.
The memories may come in images or seemingly abstract thought,
But remain curious,
Open,
Loving,
And grateful toward the pain or sensation as you continue to allow it to tell you its story.
You may not fully understand today,
But in the coming days and weeks,
You may find that the things that arise today begin to make more sense.
Continue to breathe long,
Slow,
Deep breaths and long,
Slow exhales as you continue to allow this curiosity toward the pains and sensations in your body.
Continue to be aware of any thoughts or images that come to your mind as you do so for the next five minutes as you do this.
Now that you have allowed your body to speak to you in whatever ways it needed to,
Let's make sure that your body has been heard.
Scan your body for any other pains,
Discomforts,
Or sensations.
If you find more,
That's great.
Use the rest of the time to continue learning what your body has to share with you.
If not,
Now is the time to turn our attention outside of the body so that we may receive from our highest self.
Our earthly life allows us incredible opportunities for learning and growth through lessons that are only available in physical form.
We tend,
However,
To allow these earthly experiences to take over our identity.
We identify so much with the physical body that this portion of our awareness is in,
That we forget that our consciousness is truly unlimited.
We forget that we are actually made up of energy that has exponential potential for expansion.
If you were to put yourself under a microscope and magnify the atoms that make up the structure of your body enough times,
You would see that quite literally you are made of vibrating energy with space between the atoms.
Your consciousness is the force that is holding these atoms together.
Therefore,
Your consciousness,
When not limited by the programming received by experiences and perspectives in this earth life,
Also has the ability to alter,
Expand,
And bring harmony to the atoms that make up your body.
Visualize your body as a collection of energy as opposed to skin and bone.
Imagine your body made up of millions of tiny specks of light that are held together by your consciousness.
Imagine this body of light energy as if it has no density.
In your mind's eye,
Allow your energetic body to expand.
Imagine the expansiveness of space and visualize the particles of energy and light that make up your body expanding out into space and filling every corner,
Wrapping around every planet and star,
Filling every possible void,
Engulfing every sun.
Your consciousness has this ability.
Your consciousness is unlimited in endless exponential expansion.
Breathe in as if you are breathing in all of space,
As if with every breath in,
The planets,
The suns,
The stars,
And all that exists is simply energy that leaves its physical form,
Turns to energy,
And enters your body.
When you breathe out,
Visualize the reverse,
Where all of space and all that exists exits your body in energetic form and returns to its physical form and place.
Continue breathing in the energy of all that exists in the universe into your lungs and allowing it to merge with the energy that makes up your body,
For it is all one and the same.
The same energy that holds the planets together,
That holds the planets and suns in their respective orbit and position,
Is the same energy that holds the atoms together that form your body.
It is all consciousness,
Consciousness of which you are a part of and have the ability to access when you can release your mind from the earthly bounds of which you remain tied when you identify too strongly with this physical body.
Breathing out,
Visualize the energy of the universe exiting your body and returning to its physical form and place.
Continue doing this exercise of breathing in all that is and breathing out all that is for the next five minutes.
Now,
In this space of awareness,
In this place of being one with all that is,
One with exponential potential and consciousness,
You are ready to receive the guidance of your highest self.
I would invite you now to present to the field any questions,
Desires,
Or wisdom sought.
Continue to hold your awareness on the vastness of space as your consciousness merges with all that is.
Do not put too much effort into the query.
Simply present the field with a thought and then sit and wait for the answers to come.
Sometimes the answers may surprise you.
In this space where you remain heart-centered,
The answers will not come from the you that you have always known.
They will come from the field of consciousness of which you are a part.
Answers from the field will never have an agenda.
They will never be selfish in nature.
They will never influence you to do something that will harm another.
Answers from the field,
Your highest self,
Or God,
Will always support a greater good.
They will always be loving.
If thoughts form that are anything but loving and beneficial for all involved,
These are your own parts attempting to be heard.
These are parts that were hurt in some past event and have developed a protective element.
These thoughts should be asked for space.
Ask them to kindly wait until you are finished meditating and invite the positive,
Loving answers from the field,
Your highest self,
Or God,
To flow unhindered.
If you find your awareness back in your body,
Return again to the visual of your body consisting of millions of tiny particles of light.
Visualize these tiny particles of light expanding larger and larger until they expand into every corner of space encompassing every planet,
Star,
And sun in all of existence.
Continue visualizing this for the next 10 minutes as you focus your awareness on seeking the guidance that flows through the field of consciousness when you are in this place.
When the time is up,
I will return.
I thank you for embarking on this journey with me,
But as we draw this meditation to a close,
I wish to share with you the most important part,
And that is integration of what you received.
Integration involves taking new information and merging it into every aspect of your life.
New information is basically worthless if you do not use it.
In order to effectively use new information,
You must ponder on it and look back on every belief you have about yourself,
The world,
And those around you,
And allow your perspectives to change.
New information causes us to change perspective when we allow it.
Changed perspective is opportunity for tremendous growth.
One new piece of information has the potential to fundamentally alter our perspective in ways that can cultivate mass healing and growth in our lives.
As such,
I would also like to discuss the importance of embodiment of wisdom.
New information and resultant changed perspectives must be embodied.
This means to take the information into your life in such a profound way that you allow it to change you.
From this day forth,
May you embody the wisdom that you learned in this meditation session,
And may you allow these new perspectives to alter the course of your life.
This is healing.
This is growth.
This is what you came here for.
