Neutrality practice.
Neutralizing extremes.
Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed and sit comfortably with your spine straight,
Your feet grounded and your hands resting lightly in your lap.
Right hand over left when meditating fosters balance and alignment.
And take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely and exhale through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
And repeat this three times,
Picturing roots extending from your body deep into the earth,
Anchoring you in a steady,
Stable energy.
Bring your mind to a situation where you feel torn or conflicted.
It could be as simple as deciding between rest and productivity or as profound as a major life choice.
And feel into the energy of this situation.
And ask yourself,
What are the opposing forces here?
One side could be fearful Frankie who's afraid of taking risks and the other might be confident Carol ready to take a leap forward.
And see and feel these two different energies,
These two extremes as colors or shapes.
And let your intuition guide how they appear.
Feeling the pulse of each energy.
Is it fast or slow or erratic?
Focusing on the more negative energy right now.
Fearful Frankie might appear as a spiky red orb and then moving to the other energy and confident Carol might be like a smooth glowing gold sphere.
Just observing and feeling both of these energies,
Either one at a time or together,
Whatever suits you best.
And inhale deeply and picture both energies moving toward your heart center.
And as you exhale,
Picture them beginning to swirl together.
And with each breath,
See them blending their edges softening as they harmonize.
And feel and hear the rhythms merging into one harmonious sound and beat.
Allow the blended energy to settle into a new unified color or sensation that feels calming and balanced.
And trust whatever emerges,
Your heart knows the perfect combination.
The spiky red and the glowing gold might combine into a soft amber glow,
Warm and steady.
Just observing and feeling those energies,
Noticing what shape and color they are now.
And feeling the pulse of these energies right now.
And breathing into your heart,
Allowing this harmonious energy to expand through your whole body,
Filling it up completely.
And tap into a an affirming intention.
It could be,
I am calm,
Centered and aligned.
Or I trust the balance within me.
Just feel into a statement that suits you right now.
And then after you've done that,
Take a long slow deep breath and allow it to settle in.
And when this practice feels complete,
Take a couple more long slow deep breaths and bring your awareness back to the present moment.
And take a few moments to journal what were the two extremes?
How did they feel as they emerged?
And how do you feel now?
This isn't about erasing emotions or denying what you feel,
It's about transforming polarities into a harmonious middle ground.
So your decisions come from clarity rather than chaos.
By picturing and blending extremes you give your mind and body permission to let go of inner conflict and embrace balance.
And the next time you find yourself stuck between two extremes,
Pause and remember this practice.
Whether it's a work decision,
A relationship challenge or even choosing what's for dinner,
You'll be equipped to approach it with a calm clarity and confidence.
