Hi and welcome to today's meditation.
Today is a new moon and tomorrow is spring equinox,
So it is probably the freshest start you could get to plant some seeds of intention here.
Before we begin to meditate,
Please feel free to get comfortable and I will introduce myself.
My name is Kat and I am passionate about sharing this wonderful practice so that more humans like you and me have access to moments of peace and magic anywhere,
Anytime.
As you begin to settle in,
Visually observe your surroundings,
Making no judgments,
Simply taking it in.
Are you in bed,
In your home,
Or somewhere in a space that you can see yourself sitting exactly where you are?
Taking this moment to ground and you can begin to gently soften your gaze and then close your eyes all the way.
Getting any last wiggles out,
Lower your shoulders away from your ears and resting your palms gently on your lap or belly.
Feel the ground or cushion beneath you as you allow yourself to sink into it,
Feeling held here.
As you arrive in your body,
Go ahead and take one or two deep breaths and allow your jaw to unclench and loosen on your exhale.
We are going to begin today's meditation by taking deep belly breaths in through the nose and out of the mouth,
Making your exhales longer than your inhales.
As you take a deep breath in now,
Imagine this breath as clean,
Fresh spring air coming in to brighten up your pathways,
Feeling it travel in your nose,
Down your throat and around your heart,
Past your ribs and filling up your belly.
And then letting anything sticky or unwelcome leave right out of your mouth on your exhale.
Go ahead and take a few of these on your own,
At your own pace.
In through the nose,
Out of the mouth,
As if you're blowing through a straw.
The in breath brightens like a warm,
Sunny day and the exhale blows the gray clouds away.
Deep breath in,
Slow and controlled,
Exhale out.
After about five deep breaths,
Bring your attention to that space in your mind between your eyebrows.
This is also known as your third eye chakra.
This energy center is the place that charges your imagination,
Your self-awareness and your intuition or inner insight.
As you focus on this area,
Maybe you feel a sensation on your forehead,
Such as a warmth or even a blue breeze.
Simply noticing whatever comes up here.
As you continue to breathe here,
Can you imagine yourself with a circle of light around your body?
Using this power of your third eye,
Imagine this circle of light as a seed.
All of who you are and your potential residing right within this seed.
Continue to take those balancing breaths here as you see yourself circled in that light.
It is known through every being that in order to grow,
We must be planted.
Imagine now that you are the seed of your favorite flower and that you must have specific requirements in order to fully bloom.
Just as new life can grow through the darkness of Mother Earth's soil or through the womb of a woman,
Maybe you find yourself planted in a similar way.
Maybe you had a winter of darkness that is now behind you or a season of life that felt the same.
Imagine that you were being planted.
As you are here now,
Bring to mind your intentions to grow.
As you continue to breathe in this fresh light filling you up,
It is nourishing you,
Nurturing you.
I will give you a few moments to be here with yourself as you allow these intentions to be nurtured with your breath and with your light.
Each breath you take,
Allowing you to soften.
Each exhale you take,
Allowing you to grow healthy roots.
Each moment you honor yourself,
Allowing yourself to grow and bloom.
Deep breath in.
Deep breath out.
Take a couple more breaths here.
Imagining yourself blooming bigger and brighter.
Allowing these intentions to wrap you up in warmth,
Care,
And love.
Take one more breath here.
Allowing yourself to breathe in deeply,
All the way reaching into your belly.
On your exhale,
Letting that third eye awareness just drift back into your body.
Bringing your awareness down,
Maybe wiggling your fingers or your toes.
Feeling the softness of your belly and allowing your breath to find its natural rhythm once again.
I will end today's session with a bell and a thank you for sharing your practice with me today.
Namaste.
