Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
Thank you for being here and thank you for allowing this time for yourself today.
You may begin by allowing yourself to relax,
Letting go of an exhale,
And allowing your shoulders to soften away from your ears.
You may move into a more comfortable position or you can simply let yourself be exactly as you are,
Acknowledging that that is enough.
Take a moment with your eyes open to observe your surroundings and remind yourself that you are safe.
Taking a breath in here and as you slowly exhale,
Allow your eyelids to close down.
We will be moving with this breath throughout the remainder of the practice,
Breathing in through the nose and exhaling slowly through the mouth.
But should you start to feel any amount of discomfort,
You may return to your natural breathing.
Let's begin.
As you take a deep breath in here,
Feel that air reach all the way down your spine until you bring your awareness to where you're sitting.
As you exhale,
Simply observe the weight of your body as it is held right there.
Whether that is a soft cushion for you,
A chair,
Or your bed,
Allow that to be as it is holding you.
Take another deep breath in,
Feeling that air reach into your belly.
You may wish to place your hands there and as you exhale,
Feeling yourself soften,
Knowing that there is nowhere else to be right now,
Nothing else to do.
Simply allow yourself to be here now.
Breathing in,
Feeling that breath in your body,
And breathing out.
Allow yourself three to five rounds of breath here at your own pace.
As you breathe here,
Maybe allow yourself to melt into softness a little more with each breath.
After those three to five deep breaths,
Allow your body to find its natural rhythm of breathing.
You may begin to recognize that your body does this for you.
You do not have to exert any effort or force to breathe.
It simply does.
Acknowledging this and allowing yourself to be here with your body now in these moments.
As you breathe here,
Maybe you can expand your awareness into that moment in between your inhale and your exhale.
Notice that slight pause.
Breathing in through the nose and exhale out of the mouth.
This cycle of breath that nourishes your body every day,
Whether great or not so great,
It still carries these pauses,
These slight pockets of peace.
This is where you can meet yourself.
This is where you can be here now.
Breathing in and breathing out,
Letting go.
This is where you are enough.
Entirely whole and complete,
Exactly as you are in each present moment.
Take a deep breath in.
Feeling that breath wrap around your heart,
Being present with that pause and slowly exhale out of your mouth as your body provides you peace.
Breathing in,
Exhale out.
Take a few more breaths on your own.
Feel free to stay here and practice these rounds of breath as many times as you wish.
Thank you for being here.
I wish you well.
Namaste.
