Aloha and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Kat and I am grateful to be your guide here.
As you begin to get comfortable.
Allow yourself to take up as much space as you need.
You can lie down in a star shape.
Legs wide,
Arms open.
Or if you are sitting.
Can you find some support to slightly lean your head back on,
Maybe a chair,
Cushion,
Or a wall?
Simply finding any position that encourages your body to be open and relaxed.
Once you find the place you are most comfortable,
Take a moment with your eyes still open and notice your surroundings.
Maybe taking note of any light you can see.
Maybe it's a light ray,
Either natural coming from a window as it travels in to your space.
Or simply any indoor lights that are turned on for you to see.
Imagine now with this light.
That you just woke up.
You have opened your eyes on this summer day.
And the light is shining so bright.
Can you begin to notice that this light has any specific color to it.
Maybe orange.
YOLO or white.
As you notice,
This color Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And then a deep breath out of your mouth.
As you begin to softly close your eyelids.
Let's take two more of those deep cleansing breaths.
In through the nose.
And out of the mouth.
Go ahead and take one more.
With your eyes closed now.
Can you imagine yourself as you are now?
Completely bathing in that color of light.
That you noticed around you.
Can you see the outline of your body as it is wrapped in that bright light?
Take a deep breath in through the nose here.
And with the lips sealed,
Breathe out of the nose.
Continue to take two more of those breaths here on your own.
Allowing yourself to settle and soften with each one.
As you rest here in this summer's slowness.
How does this light feel to you?
Maybe it feels warm and calming.
Or slightly tingly as a tickling sensation.
Offering no judgement here.
Just letting it be exactly as it is.
With the support of the natural cycles of mother nature.
Summer usually has this energy to it.
That allows us to feel more charged.
And aware of our surroundings.
As we are more active externally.
Allow yourself.
A moment of pause.
To stretch your breath.
And nourish your inner world.
Take a deep breath here.
And let it go.
Continue with that breath.
Can you notice the salt as you take a breath of fresh air?
As you exhale slowly.
And let go of any residual tension in your shoulders.
Maybe recognizing here.
That it's okay to practice joy and presence.
It is okay to be here in this current season.
Not rushing to be anywhere else.
Continue to take four to five cycles of breath here at your own pace.
As you practice.
Being present.
Allowing yourself to pause and to feel joy.
Can you notice any sensations?
In your body.
And can you allow yourself to let them go and soften on the exhale?
As we are humans continuously evolving sometimes a new season of life.
Can feel like those thoughts that just race by.
Catch us.
Like a sticky summer day.
Where each step you take or each thought that you have can feel like hiking to a new world on a hot day.
Reminding ourselves that our breath can be our biggest fan.
Always there for you.
Even in the bright light.
And in the shadows.
As you breathe here.
Noticing that I can contract.
And expand to whatever it is that you need.
Whenever.
You need.
Allow your body.
To support you to be cool.
Take a deep breath in and hold your chin high.
Let go of an exhale as any stress rolls right off your shoulders.
As we continue forward.
In this Leo season.
May you be reminded to shine your light the brightest.
Just as our full moon goes through those cycles of light and shadow.
Know that you are entirely whole and complete.
Exactly as you are.
No matter what season you are in.
As you breathe in your light.
Allow your spotlight to be a beacon.
And then soften and fade on your exhale.
May you carry your light with you throughout the rest of your summer.
And come back here whenever you need.
Feel free to rest here.
And I will meet you next time.
Thank you for taking the time to meditate here with me today.
The light in me sees and recognizes the light within you.
Namaste.
