Welcome to this Spring Renewal Sleep Meditation.
A gentle inner renewal.
I invite you to start with getting yourself comfortable.
Laying down or resting in a position where your body feels fully supported.
Allow your hands to soften,
Your jaw to unclench and your eyes to gently close.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in through your nose and gently out through your mouth.
Then let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
This is your moment to pause.
The day is complete.
Nothing to solve.
Nowhere to go.
Nothing more is needed from you.
Imagine placing everything you've been carrying,
Your thoughts,
Your plans,
Your worries,
Into a small basket beside you.
You can return to them tomorrow.
There is just this quiet threshold between day and night.
And for now,
You just rest.
Bring your awareness down into your body.
Feel where you are supported.
Feel the weight of yourself being held,
Your back,
Your legs,
Your head resting by the bed beneath you,
By the earth below that.
Imagine a gentle connection from your body down into the earth,
As if you are being quietly held.
The earth beneath you is steady,
Calm,
Patient.
With every exhale,
Feel yourself settling,
Supported,
Safe,
Grounded.
And just like the earth in early spring,
You don't need to rush.
Things grow in their own time.
They unfold gently at their own pace.
And the same counts for us.
Allow yourself to be supported.
Now gently bring your attention through your body.
Soften your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your mouth,
Your jaw.
Let your shoulders melt down,
Your arms heavy,
Your chest soft.
Feel your belly rising and falling naturally and effortless.
Relax your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet.
Each breath softening you deeper,
Sinking deeper into rest,
Like warm sinking deeper into rest,
Like warm sunlight melting tension.
Imagine now that you are lying in a peaceful spring field at dusk.
The air is cool but gentle.
The ground beneath you is full of quiet life,
Even though you cannot see everything growing.
You can sense something stirring,
New growth,
New energy,
Possibility,
Tiny beginnings,
Gentle shifts,
New energy just starting to awaken.
Spring doesn't burst open all at once.
It unfolds slowly,
Softly,
Naturally.
Spring is a threshold season,
A movement from inward stillness to outward expression.
And tonight you rest in the space between.
No need to bloom yet.
Just rest in becoming.
And you are allowed to unfold in the same way.
Now imagine the sky above you,
Fast and calm,
Filled with stars.
That same quiet space exists within you.
A place where different parts of your life gently live and move.
Your need for rest.
Your sense of home.
Your hopes for something new.
Without needing to name anything,
Just notice.
What part of you is asking for comfort and rest?
What feels ready to be let go,
Like winter passing?
What small new beginnings might be quietly forming?
There's no need to answer clearly.
Just let these questions float,
Like clouds drifting across a calm sky.
Bring your awareness now to your heart space.
Imagine a soft green light glowing there,
Like the first leaves of spring.
With each inhale it glows brighter.
With each exhale it softens and spreads.
You are connected to your breath.
To the earth.
To the quiet rhythm of life unfolding.
You are allowed to grow slowly.
You are allowed to rest deeply.
Nothing is missing.
Nothing is behind.
You are exactly where you need to be this season.
Let these gentle thoughts settle quietly in your awareness.
You are not behind.
You are simply unfolding,
Like nature.
Like nature,
You move in cycles,
Not straight lines.
Rest is part of growth.
Stillness is part of change.
Now allow everything to soften even more.
Your breath.
Slower.
Quieter.
Your body.
Heavier and more at ease.
Imagine yourself wrapped in a cocoon of calm,
Like the earth holding a seed before it blooms.
You don't need to grow right now.
You just need to rest.
Let your thoughts drift away,
Like petals floating on still water.
If your mind wanders,
Gently return to the feeling of your breath,
Or the sense of being held.
As you drift towards sleep,
Carry this knowing.
Spring is already unfolding within you.
Quietly.
Naturally.
Effortlessly.
And just like the earth,
You will rise when it is time.
For now,
Just rest.
We come to the end of our meditation.
I leave you here to rest and to drift into a long and restful sleep.
Namaste.
