Welcome to day two of our meditations on our journey to the summer solstice.
Today we're focusing on taking stock of the year and tapping into our energetic ecosystem.
So find a quiet space and get comfortable in a seated position.
Give yourself a few moments to rest,
To enjoy taking this nourishing time out.
Take a few deep breaths and feel yourself relaxing as you go.
Close your eyes,
Breathe in and breathe out and again if you can allow a pause between the in and the out breath all the better.
Let's take ourselves back to the beach where we were being nourished by the glowing light of the Sun as it ascends across the sky.
Today on day two of our journey it's a little higher in the sky.
You can feel its gentle radiant warmth in the air.
You feel yourself relaxing and you sit on the sand and let the sound of the waves wash over you.
As you sit let your mind drift over some of the events of the year.
Don't worry if nothing comes immediately.
Remember that when we set an intention to recall events,
Experiences,
Feelings and achievements they may start to surface slowly.
They may come to us at times that we don't expect them to.
So over today and the next few days be open to these memories surfacing and be ready to sit with them and appreciate them when they start to talk to you.
But if things have started to surface already allow them to gently arrive in their own time drifting slowly up to the surface of your attention and awareness.
Welcome them when they arrive and be aware that they may just be the first of many.
As you invite these memories of the year to surface think of the things that nourished you,
That made you feel joy.
Allow that sense of joy to come all the way through your body.
Celebrate that feeling.
Think of some of the things that challenged you,
That gave you the opportunity to learn or experience something new.
Take a moment to feel pride in those things even if they were hard or asked a lot of you.
Feel in your body the sense of growth that will have come from navigating through these experiences and take a moment to celebrate the fact that these experiences allowed you to grow as a human being.
Return your attention to the Sun.
Take in its early morning glow.
Feel the gentle warmth on your skin.
Sit quietly and enjoy the memories that are surfacing.
Appreciate each one as it comes up from the depths.
Let it stay in your imagination for a few moments longer.
Remember that as these reflections and memories continue to surface this is a safe space for you.
This is a safe space to reconnect with these things of the year,
These moments in time that have enriched our lives in some way.
Now imagine yourself walking away from the beach.
You're turning away from the surf and you see a small and shady garden a short walk away.
Imagine yourself walking over the sandy beach to a place where the sand stops.
There's a dirt path that you cross with your bare feet and on the other side is the beginning of a garden.
The garden is quiet and peaceful.
You take another step and see areas of shrubs,
Trees,
Flowers and grasses.
There are beautiful deep greens everywhere with accents of pink and yellow and orange.
You take another step into the serene tranquility of the garden and you see a bench.
You walk over to it and take a moment to sit down.
Now think about your own energy.
Think about the energy that you get from doing the things that you love and being with the people that you love.
Think about the energy that you give to those that you live and work with and to your circle of family,
Friends and colleagues.
Think about the energy that comes and goes from your entire person,
Your personal ecosystem throughout the day.
Consider your own energetic ecosystem as you would consider a garden.
Consider all of the different parts of your world that nourish you,
That give you sun,
Light,
Shade and shelter,
Nutrients,
Nourishment and companionship.
If you are a plant or a flower in the garden that you now see all around you,
What are the things that are nourishing you?
What is your energetic ecosystem made up of?
As you take this time out in this beautiful garden,
Consider how life is an ecosystem and you have your own energetic ecosystem and when that ecosystem is in balance,
Your garden is flourishing and beautiful and diverse and healthy and joyful to be in.
When you're ready,
Stand up and leave this beautiful garden for the time being.
One slow step at a time,
Back outwards towards the early light and the sound of the ocean.
Enjoy feeling the rays of the sun for just a few more moments before you return to your day and when you're ready,
Enjoy a few more deep relaxing breaths and prepare to open your eyes.
