Welcome to day five of our journey to the summer solstice meditations.
Today we recognize that we are halfway through our journey and know that this is worth celebrating.
When we started this journey we gave ourselves permission to arrive at the end of the year,
Permission to stop moving,
Stop racing,
Stop running.
So now is the time to really sense in your body if you have been able to process this idea of really slowing down the year as we come to the summer solstice.
We take the time to slow down in all aspects of life and all parts of our energetic ecosystem.
So today I invite you to close your eyes and take stock of how that process of slowing down is going.
Your mind may drift to some of the parts of your life that you've been able to slow down a little bit.
You may have been able to spend more time meditating,
Spend a little bit less time on your devices,
A little bit more time cleaning and clearing and allowing space to reflect on the year.
So today feel that in your body,
That sense of relaxation that's coming from moving through these practices of detoxification and clarification.
This is also the journey where we're seeking the sun,
We're seeking to engage with the warmth and the vitality and the energy of the sun.
We've started to invite that energy into our entire energetic ecosystem.
We've started to feel it in our bodies and we're feeling that sense of revitalization and that fire energy that comes with the sun that's so powerful for applying heat and baking off the residue of the year and in fact baking the year.
And this is the process that we're exploring with reflecting on the highlights of the year as well.
So now I invite you to feel that in your body that as we have gone through this journey of reflecting on what we've done,
What we've achieved,
What we've learnt and what we've experienced,
All of these things are now landing in our body and we are feeling a sense of pride and achievement because although not all of the experiences of the year may have been easy and although they may have asked a lot of us and we've had to give a lot through the process,
We will have received as well.
We will have received knowledge and insight and new experiences.
So I invite you now to really receive those into your system.
It's not just the experiences that matter but the reflection on the experiences,
The processing and the finding of the meaning in the experiences.
So as you breathe in and breathe out,
This is the time to welcome those reflections and to find some meaning and value to make sure that all of these experiences find a way to integrate into our system so that we carry forward the wisdom and the knowledge that they have gifted us.
So with your eyes closed and with more slow and deep breaths in and out,
With a pause between the in-breath and the out-breath,
I invite you to reflect on how you will integrate some of the wisdom from these experiences and feel them embedding themselves in your ecosystem.
We've also reflected on our energetic ecosystem as a garden and I invite you now to return to that garden bench where we were able to sit and reflect on all of the different components of a garden ecosystem and how similar that is to our own energetic ecosystem where there is light and shade,
Areas of sunlight,
Areas of quiet,
Where the soil plays a role in nourishing us,
Where light and sun all play a role in helping us grow and evolve.
And all the different parts of a garden that grow organically and are part of our own energetic ecosystem,
All the different parts of our lives,
Our spiritual lives,
Our emotional lives,
Our mental lives and our physical lives all interconnect and intertwine in our energetic ecosystem.
They all give energy and take energy,
They nourish us,
They feed us and they ask things of us as well.
So in this journey we are looking inwards to connect with all the different parts that make up ourselves that need rest,
That need nourishment and that need time to integrate and recalibrate with the whole of us in order that we can feel balanced.
So sitting in this garden we take the time to acknowledge that we are intricate beings,
We are an ecosystem and the climate that we create for ourselves is the thing that nourishes us,
That sustains us and as a flower in this beautiful garden we have times of growth,
Times of decay,
Times of flowering,
Times of being just a small seed requiring support.
We go through the cycles in the same way that nature goes through cycles of growth and evolution and rest.
We've also taken time in our journey so far to give ourselves permission to rest our spaces,
To clean and tidy and feel closure for the year.
And I invite you now to think about the spaces that you exist and work in,
That you create in,
That you play in and once again strengthen that visualization that these spaces are clean and tidy and restful.
There is nothing more to be done this year,
You have permission to stop,
To have a break and that anything that needs to be done can be done after this time of rest,
After this time of nourishment.
You have permission to slow down,
You have this permission to take time for yourself.
There is nothing urgent to be done,
Now is the time to stop.
To feel gratitude simply for being alive and having given yourself this time to really accept and receive all of the amazing things,
All of the experiences that have helped you grow as a human being in the past year.
So now I invite you to take a few more deep breaths,
Center yourself in that sense of being open to receive,
Feeling in your body that you have made this time,
You have made this space to clear out the year,
To let go of everything that you don't need anymore and to accept all of the amazing achievements and feelings of happiness that you have collected throughout the year and having made a space to open yourself up to the nourishment that the light and the sun at this time of year is ready to give you.
So take a few more deep breaths,
Open your eyes and return to your day.
