Welcome to this 5 minute meditation nurturing the seeds within.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.
You can sit cross-legged on the floor or in a chair with your feet flat on the ground.
Close your eyes gently.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold it for a moment and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Repeat this a couple of times,
Allowing your body to relax with each breath.
For the remainder of this meditation,
Return to your normal breath through the nose and out the nose.
Bring your awareness now to your body.
Notice any areas of tension and consciously through your breath begin to relax each and every one of them.
Start from the top of your head,
Moving down through your forehead,
Jaw,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Your chest,
Your abdomen,
Hips,
Legs,
And finally your feet.
Allow your whole body to feel heavy and supported by the ground.
Now visualize yourself holding a small seed in your hand.
This seed represents your potential,
Your intentions,
And the qualities you wish to cultivate in your life.
This could be compassion,
Love,
Patience,
Or wisdom.
Imagine the seed is warm and alive,
Pulsing with energy.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine planting this seed in rich,
Fertile soil.
As you cover it with soil,
Set an intention for what you want this seed to grow into.
Perhaps it's a quality you want to enhance,
Or a goal you wish to achieve.
Visualize the warmth of the sun and the nourishing rain helping this seed to sprout and grow.
Now envision the seedling beginning to emerge from the soil.
Picture it growing stronger with each breath you take.
With every inhalation,
Imagine yourself nurturing this growth,
Allowing it to flourish.
With each exhalation,
Letting go of any doubts or fears that might hinder its development.
Repeat silently to yourself,
I nurture the seeds of positivity within me.
Repeating again,
I nurture the seeds of positivity within me.
As you come to the end of this meditation,
Take a few more deep breaths.
Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel in this moment,
Embracing the intention you've set.
May you carry this sense of nurturing and growth with you throughout the rest of your day.
