Welcome to Crossing the Threshold.

A meditation for the woman who's ready to honour what's been and step into what's next.

I invite you to begin by finding a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down.

Somewhere you can relax but remain aware.

Let your hands rest loosely,

Your body supported.

Take a slow steady breath in through your nose and a gentle breath out through your mouth.

Allow yourself to arrive,

To soften,

To land here in this moment.

You may hear the sounds of life going on around you.

Traffic,

Birds,

People,

The wind.

That's perfect.

It reminds you that life continues all around you,

Even as you pause for a few moments to reconnect within.

With your next few breaths,

Feel your body begin to release the day.

Shoulders lower,

Jaw unclenches,

Belly softens,

Breath deepens.

Imagine the earth beneath you steady and strong.

Each exhale sends your weight down into that steady foundation,

The home of every version of you that has ever existed.

You are safe,

Supported.

Now bring to mind the path that's brought you here,

The choices,

Challenges and triumphs that have shaped your life so far.

The goals achieved,

The teams led,

The families raised,

The people you've inspired simply by being who you are.

Allow yourself to feel gratitude for the woman who walked that path.

She worked hard,

She cared deeply,

She gave so much.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Silently thank her.

Thank her for her strength,

Her discipline,

Her courage.

Everything she did brought you here,

To this doorway between what has been and what is about to unfold.

Now in your mind's eye,

Imagine a doorway before you.

It may look like an archway,

A garden gate or a shimmering light,

Whatever feels right for you.

Behind you lies the chapter you've completed.

Ahead of you,

Something new,

Not yet fully formed but calling.

Take a moment to look back with appreciation.

What wisdom,

Experience or energy do you wish to carry forward?

Gather it gently into your heart.

And now,

What weight,

Role or expectation are you ready to lay down?

Perhaps an identity that no longer fits,

A pressure you no longer need or a story that's complete.

Take a moment,

Breathe in deeply and as you exhale,

Release it.

Let it fall away behind you,

Dissolving into light.

Now,

When you're ready,

Take a slow intentional step forward.

Feel yourself crossing the threshold from what was into what will be.

As you step,

Imagine a golden warmth surrounding you.

This is a renewal,

Expansion,

Freedom.

It infuses your cells with vitality,

Steadiness and quiet excitement.

You don't need to know exactly what comes next,

Only that it will meet you when you're ready.

Pause here for a few breaths.

Let that golden energy settle through your body,

Down your spine,

Into the earth beneath you.

Now,

I invite you to whisper softly to yourself,

I honour what has been.

I release what's complete.

I open to what's next.

Feel the truth of those words move through you like a gentle current.

Calm,

Strong,

Inevitable.

Expanding into more of who you've always been.

Now,

Bring your awareness back to your breath,

In and out.

Notice the steadiness in your body,

The openness in your heart.

You've crossed the threshold.

You are ready for the next chapter.

When you're ready,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take one final deep nourishing breath and return to your space.

Present,

Grounded and quietly powerful.
