Welcome to this gentle meditation to help you welcome all parts of you Find your way to a position where you can really let go,
Lying down if you can.
And let the ground take your full weight And if it feels okay for you,
Let your eyes close Before we start a small practical guidance,
Later on I'll be referring to the different parts of you.
And to make the words flow naturally,
I'll refer to them in female form.
Of course,
Replace she or her into he or him whenever relevant.
Let's begin.
Take a slow breath in through the nose.
And a long soft sigh out through the mouth One more breathing in.
And letting everything fall on the exhale.
Let the breath find its own rhythm.
You don't need to do anything with it.
Just let it carry you.
And see if you can become more aware of how your breath is in this moment.
Notice how it's flowing in through your nose and out through the nose or the mouth Being curious.
About this tool.
In continuous presence that we have the breath Just feeling your belly.
Is it more up in the chest?
Notice the movement it creates.
On every exhale relax a little bit more Sink slightly deeper into the surface beneath you.
Letting go of any tensions of any holding softening.
You might notice your mind wandering.
This is very normal,
Just whenever you notice this,
Gently bring back your awareness to the breath try to bring full attention,
Full focus on this breath without needing to change it.
Without thinking about what is right or wrong just being present with this continuous flow.
Maybe using the breath to breathe into the spaces that feel a bit tense or tight.
With your attention trying to escort that breath to those spaces creating some room on the inside some space.
And maybe notice how you're bringing energy in on the inhale and how you're letting go,
Softening and relaxing on the exhale Tonight I want to invite you into something quiet For so much of our lives we live in a kind of inner sorting Some parts of us are allowed at the table,
The kind one,
The capable one,
The impressive one And some parts are kept just outside,
The angry one,
The scared one,
The needy one,
The one who wants too much Those parts we keep outside don't actually leave,
They wait by the door,
Sometimes for years,
Sometimes for decades.
Tonight we're inviting them back in.
Imagine if you can a table a simple table,
A welcoming table Somewhere warm,
Somewhere cozy,
Somewhere safe.
Somewhere that feels like yours.
Set as many places as you need.
Now,
One by one.
Let all the parts of you arrive.
Part of you that has been working so hard.
Let her come in first.
Set her down.
Maybe pour some water.
Part of you that has been afraid,
Welcome her too.
Set a place for her.
She's been outside in the cold for a long time.
Part of you that is angry.
The one who has been told she's too much.
Later in.
.
.
Pull out her chair.
She doesn't have to apologize for being here.
The part of you that has wanted more,
More love,
More rest,
More space,
More aliveness,
Welcome her too.
There's room for her.
And the young one,
The very young one,
The one who has been waiting since before you can remember to feel safe enough to come to the table take her hand,
Walk her in.
Sit there in a place of honor.
And now the harder ones.
Part of you that you've been most ashamed of.
The one you were sure could never come.
Let her in too.
She doesn't have to explain herself,
She doesn't have to be transformed first She just gets to sit down.
There may be parts arriving that you didn't know were there.
Let them come.
Let the table be bigger than you thought it was.
When everyone is at the table,
Look around Notice that none of them disappeared.
Notice that none of them needed to be fixed before they could come.
Notice that the table held them all together This table is you.
The hosting is you.
The welcoming is you.
Deeper awareness that watches all of these parts arrive.
That's you.
The one big enough to hold all of yourself has been here the whole time.
In your own time,
Look around the table once more.
And softly in your heart say to all of them,
I'm so glad you came.
I made room for you.
You don't have to be anyone but who you are.
This is your home,
Too.
Stay here as long as you need.
And when you're ready,
Let your breath grow a little fuller.
Bring soft movement back into your fingers,
Your toes.
And as you return to your day,
Remember,
You don't have to leave anyone behind to live your life you can carry all of you with you You always could.
Thank you for breathing with me.
