Welcome.
Take a moment to arrive exactly as you are.
There is nowhere else to be right now,
Nothing else to prepare,
Nothing you need to understand before resting.
Let the body settle in whatever position feels most supportive.
On your back,
On your side,
With cushions,
With blankets.
Make yourself slightly more comfortable than you think you need.
Tonight is not for solving,
Not for analyzing or preparing for tomorrow.
If there are unanswered questions in your life,
You do not need to resolve them here.
If there are conversations unfinished,
Decisions not yet made,
Feelings not yet sorted,
None of that needs to be resolved tonight.
This is a pause,
A gentle suspension.
You are allowed to rest,
Even in the midst of uncertainty.
Let your eyes close softly.
Feel the room holding you,
The walls,
The air,
The quiet presence of the space around you.
There is nothing you must figure out before sleep.
Bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you,
The weight of your heels,
Your calves,
The backs of your thighs,
The weight of your pelvis,
Your ribcage,
Your shoulders.
Notice gravity.
You don't have to hold yourself up right now,
Let gravity do the work.
If the body has been bracing,
If it has been subtly preparing for impact,
Allow it to soften by just one small degree.
Feel the back of your head resting,
Your jaw unclenching,
Your tongue softening away from the roof of your mouth,
The muscles around your eyes unwinding.
Bring awareness slowly through your body.
Right hand,
Left hand,
Both hands together.
Right foot,
Left foot,
Both feet together.
Your whole back body heavy,
Supported.
Your whole front body,
Soft and unguarded.
If you notice alertness in your system,
That subtle scanning,
That readiness,
Simply acknowledge it and gently remind your body,
For now,
You are safe enough to rest.
Let the exhales lengthen slightly,
No force,
No control,
Just a quiet settling.
If your sleep has been carrying more than dreams lately,
If your nights have felt like processing centers,
If your body lies down but your awareness stays standing guard,
You are not alone in that.
There are seasons when the world feels uncertain,
When direction feels unclear,
When something inside you is waiting for clarity that hasn't yet arrived.
Let that be here without naming it.
There may be questions with no timeline,
Feelings without neat language,
Or grief without a defined shape.
You do not have to solve any of it tonight.
Let the questions rest beside you instead of inside you.
Imagine placing them gently at arm's length.
They will still be there tomorrow,
But tonight,
They do not require your attention.
Now invite a simple inner statement,
Choose one of these or allow your own quiet truth to form,
And silently repeat,
I am allowed to pause.
I do not have to hold everything alone.
Uncertainty does not mean I am unsafe.
Rest is support.
Repeat it gently in the background of your awareness.
Let it settle like a small stone placed in water.
Now my voice will begin to recede.
There is nothing more you need to do.
No more instructions to follow.
Simply rest in the awareness of breath moving softly in and out.
If thoughts return,
Let them pass like distant weather.
You do not need to follow them.
In a few moments,
The sound will continue to hold you.
You are not being left.
The space remains attentive.
You are supported for the entire night.
Allow the body to grow heavier,
Allow the mind to grow wider,
Allow yourself to drift without needing answers.
