Come to lie down in a place that supports your whole body.

Take some time here to wiggle,

To stretch and squeeze the day out of your body.

Now begin to settle.

Adjust pillows and blankets to find the most comfortable position you can in this moment.

A position to fall into a restful and restorative sleep.

Take a deep breath in through the nose.

As you exhale out the mouth,

Bring yourself to stillness.

Become aware of the support beneath you.

Become aware of the room you are lying in.

Become aware of Grandmother Moon outside in the sky.

Allow yourself to rest in the protection of Grandmother Moon.

Give her permission to watch over you and your dreams tonight.

Allow her to bathe you and your place of rest in an energy field of safety and love.

Thank you,

Grandmother Moon,

For giving me this opportunity to rest deeply and restore my vitality and spirit.

I surrender to you all the challenges I could not meet fully today.

I surrender to you any unfinished work and I graciously accept the healing sleep that is waiting for me.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Fill yourself up,

And with an audible exhale,

Release a sound.

Be still.

Release doing.

You are safe.

Release moving.

You are safe.

Release holding.

You are safe.

The day is complete.

You have done all that you could have.

Now,

It is time to let go and rest.

There is nothing left for you to figure out.

There is nothing left for you to create.

There is nothing left for you to accomplish.

All is done and all is as well as it could be.

The day is complete.

Now it is time to let go and heal.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Fill yourself up,

Open the mouth and let it go.

Take a deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Let go into forgiveness.

Take a deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Let go into allowing.

Take a deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Release all efforts.

No more effort in the body.

Simply feel the sensation of stillness.

No effort in the mind.

Let go into listening and feeling.

No effort in breathing.

Watch the spontaneous breath as it moves in and out of the body.

The day is complete.

There is nothing left but to let go into the quiet stillness of the night.

Let go of the body.

You are safe.

Let go of the mind.

You are safe.

Let go of the breath.

You are safe.

Let go into deep restorative rest.

You are safe.

Let go into sleep.

Let go into the mystery.

You are safe.
