May this practice bring you ease.
Take a moment to allow yourself to settle into this time together,
Noticing what feels most nourishing and supportive for you right now.
That may be closing your eyes,
Placing a hand on a part of you that is asking for acknowledgement and connection,
And breathe.
This meditation is for the woman who is tired of explaining herself,
Tired of justifying her boundaries,
Her exhaustion,
Her decisions.
Tired of noticing that her truth is only received when it fits someone else's comfort.
So many women learn to carry this quiet labor,
Managing how they are perceived,
Offering context and softening truth,
Hoping to be understood.
And over time,
That effort can pull us away from ourselves.
If you notice the familiar urge to explain,
To say more,
To clarify,
To make your life make sense to someone else,
Pause,
Breathe.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
You don't need to explain anything in this moment.
You don't need to justify your tiredness.
You don't need to prove your needs.
You don't need to make your experience easier for others to receive.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Let your jaw unclench,
And let your body rest from the work of trying to be understood.
Another slow breath in and out.
Your life does not need to be believed by everyone in order to be real.
Your choices do not require agreement to be valid.
Your boundaries do not need explanation to be honored.
For these few moments,
You are allowed to simply be without clarification,
Without defense,
Without apology.
Take one more breath.
And as you return to your day,
Carry this gentle knowing with you.
You are allowed to live your life without constantly explaining yourself.
I see you,
Mama.
