Welcome,
Beautiful soul.
Thank you for choosing yourself today.
My name is Anna-Marie Baviers.
Thank you for choosing to spend this sacred moment with me.
The meditation is created to guide you.
Into a space of calm.
Connection.
And gentle transformation.
Today's meditation is focused on why saying no feels so very hard.
In this moment there is nowhere else you need to be.
And nothing you need to become.
You're already enough.
Take a slow,
Gentle breath.
Forward.
And as you breathe out.
Allow the weight of the day to begin melting away.
Relax your shoulders.
Soften your face Let your breathing become slow and easy.
For these next few moments.
Allow yourself to receive.
Today I'd like to speak to the part of you that feels guilty.
The part that says yes,
When your heart is quietly whispering no.
Path that apologizes.
Even when you've done absolutely nothing wrong.
The part that carries responsibility.
For everyone else's happiness.
If that sounds familiar.
I want you to know.
That you are not broken.
You are not weak.
And you are certainly not selfish.
You are human.
Somewhere along your journey.
Perhaps as a child.
Perhaps in a relationship.
Perhaps through life's many experiences.
You learned something.
You learn that Same,
You skip the piece.
That being helpful earned approval.
That putting yourself last made other people comfortable.
Maybe no one ever said those words aloud.
Our children are wonderful observers.
We learn from what we experience.
And those lessons can stay with us long after we've grown up.
Close your eyes now and imagine yourself walking beside a gentle river.
The water is calm and clear.
Flowing effortlessly around every stone in its path.
Find a smooth rock.
Beside the river and sit down.
As you watch the water move Notice the leaves floating on its surface.
Each leaf represents something you've carried for far too long.
One leaf saves.
It's my job to make everyone happy.
Watch it drift away.
Another says,
If I say no,
People won't love me.
Let that leaf float downstream too.
Another whispers.
My needs don't matter.
Take a deep breath and gently place that belief.
On a leaf.
And watch as the river carries it away.
Not because you're forcing it to leave.
But because you're ready to loosen your grip.
Now place your hand softly over your heart.
Feel its steady rhythm.
This beautiful heart has carried you through so much.
It is love.
It is hope.
It has forgiven and endured.
And perhaps It has been asking for your attention for a very long time.
Ask your heart silently.
What do you need from me?
Don't search for an answer,
Simply listen.
Perhaps you will hear words.
Perhaps you'll feel something instead.
Whatever comes or doesn't come is perfectly okay.
Now.
Imagine.
You're older wiser,
Self-aware.
Sitting beside you This version of you has already learned that love and boundaries can live together.
She smells warmly she reaches for your hand and says You do not have to earn the right to rest.
You do not have to earn the right to say no.
You do not have to earn the right.
To matter.
You were born with in.
Let those words settle gently into your heart.
Now repeat these words silently.
Allowing each one to sink a little deeper It is safe for me to honour my heart.
I can disappoint someone.
Without being.
A disappointment.
I release guilt with every breath.
I choose love over fear.
I choose honesty over obligation.
And today I choose myself with kindness.
Take one slow nourishing breath in and breathe out.
With a gentle sigh.
Feel the support beneath you feel your body becoming lighter Notice that nothing has changed outside of you.
And yet,
Something has shifted within.
A tiny seed has been planted.
The seed of permission.
Permission to honor your own heart.
Permission to trust yourself.
Permission to believe.
That you need.
Matter too.
As you slowly begin to return to this moment.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Perhaps stretch gently,
And when you are ready.
Open your eyes.
As you move through your day.
May you remember this.
Guilt is not always a sign that you are doing something wrong.
Sometimes it's simply a sign that you are doing something differently.
Be patient with yourself.
Your heart is learning a new language.
One of love truth and freedom.
A moment with yourself,
Before you continue with your day.
Spend a few quiet moments with Let your heart answer gently.
There is no need to rush.
Today's reflection when I feel guilty.
For saying no.
What am I afraid might happen?
If my closest friend felt the same guilt.
What loving words.
Would I offer them?
Perhaps today.
You can offer those same words to yourself Thank you for sharing this peaceful space with me.
I honour your time,
Your presence and your willingness to show up for yourself.
Until we meet again.
Stay grounded.
Stay open.
And stay kind to your soul.
