Here's something I know about you.
If you clicked on this audio,
Chances are you've been thinking about money.
Maybe a little,
Maybe a lot.
But not just money,
I'm talking about the life it could help you create.
Maybe there's a dream home you've been eyeing for years,
Or the freedom not to worry every time life throws you a curveball.
Maybe it's just about feeling stable and safe.
Whatever your relationship with money is,
I think we can agree on one thing.
Money matters.
But here's the kicker.
What if I told you that how we've been thinking about money all this time is actually keeping us from having it?
Yep,
I said it.
And before you tune out thinking,
Oh great,
Here comes another,
Just visualise money and it'll magically show up kind of talk,
Let me stop you right there.
That's not where we're going.
What I'm about to share with you isn't pie in the sky philosophy.
It's grounded,
Eye-opening.
Let's get real about how things work clarity.
And I promise to you,
By the end of this you'll have an entirely different perspective on money,
How it moves,
How it finds its way into your life,
And most importantly,
The subtle ways you might actually be keeping it out.
But first,
Can we just take a minute to talk about the frustration?
I know the script,
You work hard,
You grind.
And yet,
The financial breakthroughs don't come,
Or maybe they do.
But keeping the money feels just as hard as making it in the first place.
It's exhausting.
It's confusing.
And if you're anything like I was for most of my life,
It leaves you feeling like there's some secret out there that everyone else has figured out.
But somehow you missed the memo.
Here's the thing,
I was you.
Not that long ago I was juggling a failing business,
Foreclosure notices,
And a bank account so laughably low I couldn't bring myself to check the balance some days.
I'll be honest,
It felt hopeless.
But this hopeless season of my life is what forced me to take a hard look at my entire relationship with money.
What I learned didn't just change the numbers in my bank account,
It changed me.
And it's that discovery that I want to unpack with you today.
So quick question for you.
Have you ever wondered why money seems to flow freely to some people,
While others struggle no matter how much effort they put in?
Like why is it that certain folks,
Even when they lose everything,
Seem able to bounce back faster than ever,
While the rest keep hitting the same wall?
Year after year.
Well believe it or not,
It has almost nothing to do with luck,
Or even skill.
It comes down to one surprising truth.
Money is energy.
I know,
I know.
That can sound a little out there,
Right?
But bear with me.
Once you understand this concept,
Everything begins to make sense.
In its simplest form,
Energy is the building block of everything.
Our relationships,
Our bodies,
Our health,
Our creativity,
And yes,
Even our money.
Think about the word currency for a second.
Doesn't it sound a lot like current,
As in something that flows?
That's not a coincidence.
Money wasn't designed to be hoarded or static.
Its entire purpose is to move,
To flow,
To expand.
And here's the catch.
It naturally gravitates toward people who actively facilitate that flow.
Let's break this down with a story.
You've probably heard of Richard Branson,
Right?
The business mogul behind Virgin Group?
Now here's a guy who started with nothing and built an empire spanning everything from airlines to space exploration.
But it's not because he's just smart with numbers.
It's because Branson has always had this knack for understanding the energy of money.
He didn't necessarily chase the money itself,
He chased the impact and opportunities that money could create.
Every new business venture he launched was about putting resources into motion,
Creating new services,
Fueling innovation.
He became a conduit for growth,
For expansion,
And by doing that money flowed to him almost effortlessly.
He had a vision.
He used money to fuel that vision.
And in return,
The current,
Or currency,
Kept flowing back his way.
You might be thinking,
OK,
That's all well and good for Richard Branson,
But what does that mean for me?
Good question.
Here's where we zoom in a little closer.
It starts with one foundational shift.
Stop thinking of money as something you have to grab or chase after and start understanding that it's something you allow.
Let me ask you this.
When was the last time you stopped to think about your relationship with money?
Not just how much you want,
But why you want it.
Is it tied to a vision that excites and inspires you?
Or does it come from a place of fear like,
I don't have enough?
Or,
What if I lose what little I already have?
Here's why this matters.
When your desire for money is fuelled by fear,
Fear of lack,
Fear of scarcity,
It does precisely the opposite of what you want.
It blocks the flow.
Why?
Because money flows toward expansion,
Joy and growth,
Not dread and desperation.
I'll make this concrete for you.
Picture a radio for a moment,
A good old-fashioned FM radio.
It's simply a receiver,
Right?
If you want to listen to a certain station,
What do you do?
You tune the dial until you get the right frequency,
Static.
Well,
Our brains are kind of like that radio.
If your thoughts,
Beliefs and emotions about money are tuned into the frequency of scarcity,
Of lack,
Guess what shows up in your life?
Static.
Missed opportunities.
Financial struggle.
But when you start tuning into the frequency of abundance,
Seeing money as something that can flow to you easily,
It's like switching stations.
Everything starts to change.
Your perspective,
Your actions and,
Eventually,
Your results.
Let's move deeper into the nuts and bolts of this.
And here's where we talk about something that,
Honestly,
Most people never think about – limiting beliefs around money.
These bad boys are often sneaky,
Hidden in plain sight,
But they have a massive impact on your financial reality.
So let's get personal for a second.
I want you to fill in this blank.
When I was growing up,
Money was… Take a second.
What comes to mind?
Here's why this exercise matters.
For most of us,
Our core beliefs about money were shaped long before we ever earned a dollar of our own.
Maybe you heard things like money is the root of all evil.
Or,
You have to work hard,
Work yourself to the bone,
To make a living.
Or maybe money caused conflict in your family and so your subconscious tied wealth to tension,
Guilt or even fear.
Sound familiar?
Now,
Here's the kicker.
These beliefs,
They didn't come from you.
You were a kid,
Absorbing what the world around you taught without question.
But those early beliefs have likely followed you into adulthood and are dictating how you think,
Feel and act about money,
Whether you realise it or not.
And let me tell you,
If you're holding onto beliefs like money is hard to make,
Or I'll never be good enough to be rich,
Guess what?
You're putting up massive resistance to letting money flow toward you.
Let me take you back to my own wake-up moment with this.
Years ago,
When I was drowning in debt,
One of my biggest limiting beliefs was this idea that I could only make money from working in my own business.
Period.
Full stop.
I was grinding away,
Putting in endless hours,
Thinking,
Hey,
You've got to hustle to make it.
But something incredible happened when I challenged that belief.
I made a decision,
Just out of curiosity,
To see if I could earn $60,
000 from somewhere other than my business.
I had no idea how it would happen,
But I made the decision and then did something crucial.
I let it go.
No stressing,
No overthinking,
I just stayed open and curious.
What followed was a series of bizarrely connected events,
A friend,
A random lunch,
A pitch for a business opportunity I wasn't even thinking about.
Long story short,
That decision turned into an investment I made and by the end of the year,
I'd earned $60,
000 exactly.
But here's the thing.
The money didn't come because I spent hours strategising or hustling.
It came because I'd removed the invisible resistance that was always there when I thought there was only one way to earn it.
It's kind of like quicksand.
You know how they say the more you struggle in quicksand,
The deeper you sink?
Money works the same way.
The harder you chase it,
Or freak out about why you don't have it,
The more resistance you create.
But when you relax that grip and start seeing yourself as someone who can allow money instead of chasing it,
Opportunities start appearing almost like magic.
And here's why.
Your brain,
Or I like to call it your goal machine,
Starts working with you instead of against you.
So let's talk about what it really means to shift from scarcity thinking to an abundance mindset and before you roll your eyes and think,
Oh great,
Another one of those mind over matter pep talks.
Let me tell you,
This isn't about repeating empty affirmations in the mirror or pretending everything's okay when it's not.
This is about getting real with yourself,
Rewiring the way you think and feel about money,
And in turn,
Shifting the way money responds to you.
I'll start with one of the most important things I've ever learned.
Scarcity isn't just about not having enough money.
It's a pattern.
It's a filter on how you experience the world.
A lens that blurs opportunities,
Reinforces fears and keeps you stuck in survival mode.
And what's wild is that it's so subtle you don't even realise it's running in the background.
Here's an example.
Have you noticed when unexpected money shows up,
A bonus,
A tax refund,
Maybe even just finding a $20 bill in your coat pocket,
How quickly it tends to disappear?
It's like the moment you get ahead,
Something pops up.
A bill you weren't expecting,
A car repair,
Or that sudden urge to buy something you don't really need.
That's scarcity at work.
It's like a thermostat in your brain that keeps pulling you back to what feels familiar,
Even if familiar means living paycheck to paycheck.
Now here's the flip side.
Abundance thinking.
When you're rooted in abundance instead of scarcity,
Money starts moving differently in your life.
You don't panic about every little expense.
You start seeing opportunities where others see roadblocks.
And here's the best part.
You feel lighter,
Freer,
More capable of handling whatever life throws your way.
Shifting to abundance doesn't mean ignoring reality or pretending you're rich when you're not.
It's about retraining your mind to operate as if money is always flowing to you,
And not as some fleeting,
Fragile thing you're about to lose.
Let me tell you another story.
Ever heard of Sarah Blakely?
She's the founder of Spanx and one of the youngest self-made female billionaires in history.
Before she created Spanx,
Sarah was selling fax machines door-to-door.
Glamorous,
Right?
But instead of focusing on how tough life was – and let's be honest,
Cold-calling offices with bulky fax machines feels like the definition of tough – she spent her time visualising what she wanted.
Sarah didn't obsess over what she didn't have.
Her focus was entirely on what she was creating.
She didn't start out with millions.
She didn't even know how to launch a clothing company.
But she believed in her vision,
In herself,
And in the power of ideas.
And because of that,
The resources she needed inevitably found their way to her.
Sarah didn't succeed because she chased money.
She succeeded because she allowed it.
She stayed open,
Curious,
And willing to put herself out there,
Even when it scared her.
And that's where most of us get tripped up.
Scarcity thinking tries to convince us that waiting is safer,
That we need to be more prepared,
More educated,
Or that the timing isn't right.
But here's the truth.
Abundance doesn't come to people who wait until they feel ready.
It finds the people who say,
I don't have it all figured out,
But I'm taking the next step anyway.
So let's circle back to where you are now.
What's one area in your life where you're holding back because you're afraid there won't be enough?
Time,
Money,
Resources,
You name it?
Think about it for a second.
Be honest.
Because whatever resistance you're feeling there,
That's the exact thing blocking money from flowing to you.
Let me explain why.
When you hesitate,
When you play small,
When you cling too tightly to what you already have,
You're signalling to the universe,
Or whatever you want to call this crazy,
Intelligent system we're all part of,
That you don't trust it to deliver more of what you need.
And when you don't trust,
You close the door on abundance.
Money,
Opportunities,
And ideas,
They're all waiting to move through that door.
But they can't,
Not if you're too busy barricading it with fear.
This is where one critical shift comes in.
Letting go.
Now this doesn't mean you stop caring or throw your bills up in the air like,
Hey universe,
Handle this.
Letting go is about releasing the tension,
The fear,
The attachment to how and when things will happen.
It's about trusting that if you've made the decision to step into abundance,
The energy around you will start to align in your favour.
And look,
I get it.
Letting go can be terrifying.
It goes against everything we're taught.
Hustle harder,
Plan better,
Work longer hours,
Rinse and repeat.
But letting go doesn't mean doing nothing,
It means shifting how you operate.
Instead of pushing through fear,
Let yourself be pulled by your vision.
Get excited about what's possible.
Start to believe,
Not in some vague kumbaya way,
But in a grounded,
Intentional way.
Because the more you align with what excites you,
The faster the current starts flowing your direction.
Here's what letting go looked like for me.
When I first started working on my mindset around money,
I decided to experiment.
After years of clinging to what little I had,
I made a decision to give.
Small amounts at first,
Tips,
Donations,
Little acts of generosity.
And I'll be honest,
It felt risky.
My scarcity thermostat screamed,
Why are you giving this away?
You can't afford this.
But the more I practised releasing,
The more I realised something crazy.
Every time I gave,
The money came back to me,
Multiplied,
Sometimes through a new opportunity,
Sometimes through a surprise deposit in my account.
It wasn't always immediate,
But it was always clear.
I was creating space for more abundance by letting go of the fear that there wouldn't be enough.
What could letting go look like for you?
Maybe it's getting out of your comfort zone and saying yes to an investment you've been thinking about.
Maybe it's finally launching that business idea you've been sitting on.
Or maybe it's as simple as changing how you talk about money.
And that brings me to my next point.
Words matter.
Like,
Really matter.
If the words you're saying about money are reinforcing scarcity,
You're doubling down on the very thing you're trying to escape.
Pay attention to your language.
Are you constantly saying things like,
I can't afford that,
Or money doesn't grow on trees?
These phrases are subtle,
But they're powerful.
They reinforce a narrative of scarcity,
Even if you don't mean to.
Now try flipping the script.
Instead of saying,
I can't afford it,
Try that's not where I want to put my money right now.
See the difference?
One closes the door,
The other keeps it open.
Language isn't just about words,
It's about the beliefs,
Emotions and energy behind them.
And small changes in how you speak about money will lead to big changes in how you feel about it,
And eventually,
How you experience it.
OK,
So let's recap where we're at,
Because we've covered a lot of ground.
First,
Money is energy.
It flows to those who create space for growth,
Joy and expansion.
Second,
You've got to dig deep and uncover those hidden beliefs about money that are keeping you stuck.
Third,
Shifting from scarcity to abundance.
It starts with letting go,
Loosening your grip and trusting that if you align yourself with your vision,
Everything you need will find its way to you.
And finally,
Let's talk about what happens when you truly step into alignment with abundance.
This is where things get fun,
Because once you've cleared the resistance,
Money starts showing up in ways you couldn't have scripted if you tried.
I've seen this in my own life,
And in the lives of so many people I've worked with.
It's not just the money itself,
It's the ideas,
The connections,
The synchronicities.
When you stop worrying about how it'll all happen,
And start focusing on the why,
The vision,
The joy,
The impact,
It's like the universe conspires to help you out.
So here's the million dollar question.
What would your life look like if you fully trusted this process?
If you believed,
Fully and deeply,
That you've always had enough,
You have enough right now,
And you will always have enough?
Because that's the truth.
You're not here to survive,
You're here to expand,
To create,
To thrive.
And the moment you allow yourself to believe that,
Everything changes.
