Welcome to this short morning meditation.
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,
Either seated or standing,
With your feet grounded.
Close your eyes,
If that feels comfortable,
Or soften your gaze.
Let's begin with a deep breath in,
And a long,
Slow breath out.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Steady and supportive.
With each exhale,
Allow yourself to settle more deeply into this moment.
Let's begin by checking in with the body,
Without changing anything.
Notice how your body feels this morning.
Are there any areas of tension or ease,
Warmth or coolness?
Simply observe with curiosity.
Take a moment to gently soften any tightness you notice,
As if offering kindness to those areas.
Now shift your attention to how you're feeling emotionally.
What emotions are present right now?
Perhaps there's a mix of feelings,
Just acknowledge them.
Like clouds passing in the sky.
And finally,
Notice your state of mind.
Is it calm,
Restless,
Or somewhere in between?
No need to change anything.
Just observe.
Now,
Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful forest,
Or a meadow touched by soft morning light.
The light filters gently through the trees,
Or across the landscape,
Illuminating everything around you.
The air is fresh and crisp,
Carrying the scent of earth and leaves.
Birds sing quietly in the distance.
With each breath in,
Draw in the fresh,
Energizing air.
With each breath out,
Release anything that feels heavy or stagnant.
Imagine roots growing gently from your feet into the earth,
Grounding like a steady,
Ancient tree.
Feel yourself rooted like a tree,
Strong and steady,
Yet open to the day ahead.
Carry this connection with nature and your own awareness as you move into the rest of your morning.
Take a deep breath in and exhale fully.
Bring your awareness back to the room,
Back to the sounds and sensations around you.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Carry this grounded connection with you into your day,
Knowing you can return to it anytime.
