Welcome,
Beautiful one.
I invite you to find a comfortable position.
This is your moment to pause,
To breathe and to reconnect with your natural peace within.
Allow your body to settle,
Close your eyes if that feels natural and feel your body begin to soften.
Inhale gently through the nose and exhale slowly through your mouth,
As natural as rain settling into the earth.
Feel the weight of your body fully held,
Your seat,
The floor,
The steady earth beneath you all supporting you in this moment.
With each exhale release a little more from your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your hands,
Simply arrive here.
Simply rest.
Now gently and with tenderness allow your awareness to turn towards something in your life that is shifting.
Perhaps it is a relationship that is changing shape or a chapter that is coming to a close.
A person you are learning to live without,
A new path that is asking you to step forward into the unknown.
Whatever it is for you,
Let it be present now.
You might even name it softly,
Just to yourself,
In the privacy of your own heart.
Maybe it lives as a gentle ache or a soft uncertainty.
Take a deep breath in and with the exhale whisper to yourself.
Where I have been.
Imagine yourself standing in a deep,
Still forest.
The trees surrounding you are tall.
Their roots reaching far into the earth.
And above you a great canopy of leaves holds you gently beneath it.
Soft rain is beginning to fall.
You can hear it,
A rhythmic sound as it meets the leaves high above you,
Filtering down through the branches.
The forest floor around you darkens sweetly with it,
Softening what has been tightly held,
Preparing the ground for something new to grow.
Now feel the softest mist of rain brushing against your skin,
And notice your feet steady on the earth beneath you.
Imagine the mist gliding over you,
Carrying with it any heaviness you have been holding,
Any uncertainty,
Washing through you and flowing down and into the waiting earth below.
The earth receives all of it,
Every feeling,
Every part of this season and,
In return,
The earth offers something back,
A sense that what is released becomes nourishment.
Look up for a moment through the branches,
And notice beyond the rain,
A soft light beginning to filter through,
And notice where your body softens,
Whisper quietly to yourself,
I release with love,
I trust in what is growing,
Breathe into your heart space,
Soft,
Spacious,
Transitions,
Even the tender ones,
Are part of what shapes us,
Every season of rain brings with it the promise of bloom,
What you are moving through is an unfolding,
And welcome what is becoming,
Breathe out,
And soften what is releasing,
Let that rhythm continue for a few breaths,
Now gently notice how your body feels,
A little softer,
A little more open,
You are allowed to be mid-season,
Still finding your way,
Nothing about this moment is behind or ahead of where it should be,
You are exactly where you are meant to be,
When you are ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room around you,
To the sounds,
To your breath,
Take a gentle,
Nourishing breath in,
Long,
Easy breath out,
Softly open your eyes and carry this truth with you,
Honour where I have been,
I trust where I am going,
And I move forward,
Open,
You can stay in this space for as long as your soul needs.
