Transcript

Here is a short exercise for you to do when you have little time and you'd like to take literally a breather.

We're going to practice a three-part breath,

Breathing in through your nose into belly,

Chest,

Then throat space between your shoulder blades,

And then exhaling through your mouth from throat space,

Chest,

And then belly.

Let's begin.

Breathe in through your nose and feel the air travel down into your belly.

Inhale further to your chest,

And now up and into the space between your shoulder blades.

Hold for a couple of seconds,

Then exhale through your mouth from your throat space,

Your chest,

And now exhale all of the air from your belly.

Again,

Take a deep breath in and feel your tummy rise and expand,

Then feel the breath travel up into your chest,

Then up into your throat space.

Hold it there for a couple of seconds,

And then release it all out.

If you can concentrate on your breath in this way for just a minute or two,

This is a mini break for your body and mind.
