Starting with slow breaths,
Deep into the diaphragm,
Breathing gently into the stomach.
Full breaths.
We're going to keep it through the nose,
With no sound on the way out.
Circular breathing in.
We're going to go a little bit faster,
With no pause in between.
We're going to move into an inhale and an exhale,
Through the mouth,
Out through the mouth,
With a big release on your sigh out.
We're going to do a big hold on your out breath,
For as long as you can,
Before breathing in again.
We're going to go again,
In through the mouth,
Out through the mouth.
Now,
Circular breathing,
As deep as you can,
Now hold at the bottom,
Feel the peace in your body,
The kindness in your mind,
The shift in your energy,
The release of emotion.
Breathing in through the nose,
Breathing in again,
With sound on the way out,
And again.
One last round of circular breathing through the mouth,
In and out.
When we started learning about how to love ourselves,
We didn't get a manual,
We didn't get a perfect role model,
And we didn't get instructions,
But what we did get,
Was each other.
To share notes,
And fumble our way through with the love.
We learn through our mistakes,
And we still don't always get it right,
But we can replace the shame,
The guilt,
And the fear,
With a solid knowing,
That compassion,
Understanding,
And sharing,
Will always bring us out of the darker days.
The lightness you feel when you release,
The happiness that comes with the peace,
Is what the universe,
God,
Your angels,
Want you to see,
It's already within you,
The tools you've learnt along the way,
Were divinely guided,
And I promise you more will come.
When we step forward into the unknown,
And we breathe deep into the mystery,
We find love,
Right here,
Right here,
Within us,
As we cultivate more knowingness,
That feeling,
That lightness,
Being who we are.
I want you to hold onto it,
Feel how it shimmers,
It brightens your energy,
And creates a force of protection,
All around your being.
That love you share with others,
That love you give to your family,
That embrace you feel with a good hug,
The strength of that softness,
And how about the gratitude of kindness,
Get to know that feeling of love,
Because it is you,
Notice it.
Knowing each breath that you take,
Quite literally as a gift,
A reminder that you are worthy.
Loving our breath is loving the moments of joy,
This precious life that has been given to us.
We can say that the breathing is in preparation,
In cleansing,
Releasing and letting go.
There's a part of you that's so accustomed to things going wrong,
It almost feels like trauma is comfortable,
But there's another part of you that repels anything chaotic,
To protect you from more hardship.
Both parts are okay,
And in the middle,
You'll find the healing you need.
It's in the acceptance,
Where we find moments of neither,
We find the joy in just being.
The traumatised and the protector can both finally be seen,
In knowing that you are safe,
Guided,
And looked after.
Leaning into trust comes with knowing who we are.
We find it difficult to trust people we don't know,
And life,
In one of the many ways,
Is about teaching ourselves we are the safe space we always needed.
We are safe to express.
We give others joy and pleasure by showing them who we are.
There's the little you,
The teenage you,
The now you,
And the higher self.
The one that knows you can trust.
The one that is so grateful you kept going.
The one that works with your spirit guides and angels.
She can be tapped into at any time,
Any day.
And the little versions of you are proud,
Inspired,
And so grateful for the you that you are.
Keep deepening this sense of self,
And you'll be even more unstoppable than you already are.
