Hi,
I'm Dieke and welcome to the Femme Embodiment Quest.
This is day number 10 and the word,
The theme that we're working with today is play or playfulness.
I see this a lot in my work where I hear women say that they sort of lost a sense of spark,
This sense of playfulness,
This spontaneity,
This aliveness within,
Almost like their light got turned down or turned off and they're wanting their light to come back or they're wondering if it will ever come back,
If it's still there.
And I can guarantee you,
Yes,
It's always there.
It's waiting for you to switch that flip to turn the lights back on.
And one really essential way and key way in doing that and a key component is your sense of playfulness.
Because what happens is we tend to be very serious and things are very sort of like need to be logical and strict.
And there's a lot of things that need to get done.
And if I don't do it,
No one else does.
And through that,
Over time,
We're becoming more and more and more serious.
And what starts happening,
We're starting to close down.
We're starting to lock our playfulness,
Our aliveness,
Our light up,
Because it feels like there is no time,
No space for that.
So let this practice be an invitation to bring back that playfulness and to really remember that it's actually that playfulness that makes life and your whole experience way lighter,
Way more fun.
And you also start seeing that life in general is not as serious as that maybe you think that it is.
And that a lot of things can get done,
Maybe a little bit less perfect,
But also with way more play.
And that sometimes then life actually starts showing you the magic and things will start to click into place in a way that you're like,
I didn't know that that logically was possible,
But it is.
So let that playfulness come back and let that be the invitation and the intention for today's embodiment practice.
Okay,
We're going to actually come to lie down.
So coming to lie on your back,
So you can be fully relaxed.
And one bell marks the start,
Three bells marks the end.
So while you're lying down,
You can place your hands in front of your chest,
Taking a moment to connect to that intention,
That word of today,
Play.
And so while you're lying down,
Letting your feet fall open naturally,
Maybe even opening your legs a little bit wider.
So just exploring a little bit there,
Doesn't have to be so close,
Letting it just be a little bit more open,
More spacious.
Maybe your arms out wide,
Palms facing up.
So just taking up some space and finding that place where your body can be fully relaxed.
And so you can take a moment to sort of fidget around and explore,
Play a little bit here to be like,
How can I be more relaxed?
So maybe you're noticing your body already naturally wants to take a breath like it did for me.
Otherwise,
Let's do that together.
Exhale,
Side out.
And exhale,
Let it go.
And I want you to imagine here a place in nature where you feel naturally connected to that sort of really innocent,
Childlike,
Playful version of yourself,
Where you feel safe,
Relaxed,
And there's just no worries.
So what scene of nature represents that for you?
Might be the beach or the mountains,
The forest.
But it's trusting whatever comes to you.
And taking another deep breath there.
And just for a moment,
Just resting,
Just resting there.
Nothing to do,
Nowhere else to go.
And then with your next breath,
Next exhale,
You're bringing a little bit of aliveness back into the body,
Some movement.
And it's almost like you just woke up from the most rejuvenating,
Nourishing sleep or nap.
You're feeling full of energy and joy and excitement to start the day.
You're still in that environment,
That nature scene that came to you.
And you're just bringing a little bit of that,
Like,
Feeling to your body.
So letting your body a little bit shake.
Play and explore a little bit.
Like,
Feel that excitement.
Maybe you want to move your legs a little up or out.
Just finding your sense of like,
Oh my god,
I'm fully rejuvenated.
I'm in the most magical place on earth.
And I'm just excited to start today.
And so giving your body a stretch in whatever way that feels good.
And then from here,
After that stretch,
You're going to come into sort of a baby pose.
You know,
From yoga,
You can grab outside of your knees,
Gently pulling your knees a little bit towards your shoulders,
Or even elbows on the inside of your knees,
Hands on the outside of your feet.
And just coming into this sort of rocking stretch motion of opening the hips and being this sort of happy baby,
Happy baby pose.
And then from here,
Bringing the legs together,
And you want to sort of like rock up.
You're going to do that a few times.
So playing with that rocking motion,
Like,
You can even make a sound that feels like it adds to your playful experience.
And then slowly going to sit up,
Rocking yourself up.
And then just coming to sit up.
You don't even have to sit in cross-legged position.
Maybe your inner child just wants to sit differently.
It's not about sitting up straight,
Just however that feels most comfortable to you.
And then we're going to just play a little bit with the face and making some silly and weird faces.
We tend to hold a lot of seriousness in the jaw,
In the face.
And so let's open that up.
Let's play a little bit.
So you can just follow me and follow the same sort of weird faces.
So you want to just try to mimic me,
Mirror me.
Okay.
And then from here,
Just playing and exploring your own silly faces.
And I invite you to also add some sound.
It's also almost impossible for me to do it without sound because it's so connected and helps to express and connect deeper to that sense of playfulness and embodiment.
But if it's not natural for you yet,
Then the invitation is to make some sounds.
And then from here,
While you're doing those weird and silly faces,
See if you can also explore some silly and weird shapes with your body.
So not letting it be logical.
So using your body to add to that expression and just playing around here.
Like a kid would do in all the different ways,
Maybe it's just slow and just tickling or playing with his toes.
Maybe it's using his entire body.
So allowing yourself to just be a little weird and silly.
Coming back to just lay down,
Connecting back to that scene of nature.
And noticing and witnessing your body after playing.
Those three bells mark the end of this embodiment practice.
Slowly coming back to the here and now,
But still bringing that playful essence with you into your body,
Into your day.
Thanking yourself for showing up.
Thank you.
