Hello,
And welcome to the Purple Forest.
We're going to start in a comfortable seat.
Eyes open or closed,
Whatever feels good in your body this morning.
Resting your hands lightly on your knees.
Beginning to notice your breath.
In through your nose,
Out through your nose.
Feeling your sits bones grounding into the earth.
Allow your spine to lengthen.
On your next inhale,
Raise your arms high above your head.
Gazing towards your hands.
Reaching as high as you can.
And then exhale,
Hands to third eye.
Repeat two more times at your own pace.
Next,
We're going to reach your left hand towards the right.
Continuing to be aware of your breath.
Come to center and then to the other side.
Right hand lengthening toward the left.
Noticing when there's tension in the body.
And breathing it out.
Come back to center.
On your next inhale,
Lift your shoulders up towards your ears.
Exhale,
Let them melt down your body.
Again,
Inhale lift.
Exhale,
Release.
Gently drop your chin toward your chest.
Feeling a soft stretch through the back of the neck.
Slowly move your head to one side.
And then the other.
With ease and without force.
Coming back to center.
Lay your hands in front of you and make your way onto hands and knees.
Stacking shoulders over wrists,
Hips over knees.
Inhale,
Cow pose.
Let your belly soften.
Her heart shines forward,
Gaze lifts slightly.
Exhale,
Cat pose.
Round through your spine,
Press the floor away.
Chin toward chest.
Moving through cat and cow at your own pace.
For a few breaths.
Finding a neutral spine,
Tuck your toes and gently lift your hips.
Coming into downward facing dog.
Bending one knee.
And then the other.
Letting the body wake up.
Slowly.
Taking a deep inhale here.
And a full exhale.
Slowly walk your feet toward your hands.
Coming into a forward fold.
Knees can bend as much as you like.
Let your head feel happy.
Maybe swaying gently side to side.
And on your next inhale,
Slowly roll all the way up to standing.
One vertebrae at a time.
When you arrive,
Reach your arms overhead.
Take in a deep breath.
Exhale,
Hands to heart center.
Take a moment here.
Notice how your body feels.
Notice your breath.
And carry this energy with you into the rest of your day.
Namaste.
