Com Start by sitting in a comfortable position,
Ensuring you have good posture,
So that you can breathe deeply and easily.
Ensure your body is relaxed and rested.
Just flow through your body now in consciousness,
Picking up any tension,
Any part that is not rested and relaxed.

Let your shoulders drop and feel your weight being drawn down toward the floor.

Relaxed breathing rhythm.
Gently breathing in and out through your nose.
For this guided meditation,
We are going to use a short verse from the Gospel of John as a mantra.
A mantra you can use through each day.
A mantra that will be in rhythm with your breathing.
Words to repeat,
Simply to focus.
The words come from John chapter 3 verse 30.
Another simple verse,
Speaking of the Divine Presence within our lives.
Speaking of how much we need the Divine Presence and how much we need to let go of that selfish ego,
Which holds us back from becoming more and more like the Divine.
As you breathe gently in and out,
Simply repeat the words from this verse.
He must increase.
I must decrease.
The Divine Presence in me must increase.
And that selfish ego,
Which blocks my connection with the Divine,
Must decrease.
The I in me must decrease.
So as you breathe in and as your lungs physically increase,
Let the words of the first part of this verse roll through your mind.
He must increase.
And then as you exhale and breathe out and your lungs physically decrease,
Let the words of this verse roll through your mind.
I must decrease.
On the in breath,
He must increase.
And on the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
As you breathe in rhythm with the words flowing in and out on the increase and the decrease of your chest,
Picture the Divine Presence on the in breath really flowing in to you,
Whether that be a light,
A mist,
A spirit.
Picture the Divine Presence flowing in as you breathe in and then as you exhale as you breathe out,
Picture that or feel that sense of the selfish,
Egocentric,
Arrogant self flowing out of you.
Breathe in the Divine Presence.
Breathe out the selfish ego I.
He must increase on the in breath.
Really seeing that,
I must decrease on the out breath.
Really feeling that.
He must increase.
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,
I must decrease.
On the out breath,

Maintain an awareness of the Divine Presence as you breathe.
Simply being aware as you breathe that the Divine Presence flows into you and that I,

Can flow out of you.
