So find yourself a comfortable position,
Whether you're sitting or lying down,
And just allow Just allow your eyes to gently close if that feels comfortable.
Otherwise you might like to just lower your gaze to a fixed point without focusing on anything in particular.
Just allow yourself to come into this space.
Where you are right now.
And take a slow,
Easy breath in.
And a long,
Relaxed breath out.
Again,
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now and there's nothing you need to achieve.
For these next few minutes,
You can just simply allow yourself to slow down.
And just be.
We live in a world that often tells us we should be doing more.
Moving faster.
Thinking faster.
Achieving more.
But often our nervous system doesn't always thrive in constant busyness.
Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is permission just to slow down.
You Notice your breathing.
Without trying to change it.
Without trying to make it deeper.
To simply noticing.
Notice your breathing.
Just watching each breath come.
And go.
Now begin to notice your body.
Perhaps you can feel the weight of your body being supported.
With the surface that you're on.
The chair beneath you.
Or the bed.
Or the floor just supporting you completely.
There is nothing to hold up.
Nothing to carry.
Just allowing yourself to be supported.
Bring your attention to your face.
Can you soften the muscles around your eyes?
Relax your jaw.
Allow your tongue to just rest comfortably.
Perhaps you can let your shoulders drop.
Even a little.
Without forcing relaxation,
Just simply inviting it.
Notice your chest rising and falling with each breath.
Your belly gently moving.
Your hands resting.
Your legs supported.
Allow your whole body to settle at its own pace.
As thoughts appear,
Just notice them.
There's no need to push them away.
No need to hold on to them either.
Just simply allow them.
To come.
And to go.
Like clouds moving across the sky.
Always changing.
Always moving.
Perhaps today you don't need to solve everything.
You don't need to have all the answers.
You don't need to fix yourself.
For these few moments,
You can simply be here,
Exactly as you are.
Notice how your body feels when nothing is being forced.
Your breathing isn't forced.
And your thoughts don't need to stop.
Relaxation doesn't need to happen.
Everything is simply unfolding in its own time.
Just as it should.
Just sit now.
We stillness.
Enjoy a little bit of silence.
You And as we begin to finish.
.
.
Take another slow,
Comfortable breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Notice how you feel.
Perhaps nothing has changed dramatically.
Maybe it has.
Or maybe there's just a little more space,
A little more softness.
A little more calm.
Remember,
You don't have to rush through life.
Sometimes the fastest way forward is to slow down.
Because sometimes slower really is better.
Thank you for taking this time to sit with me,
Taking this time for yourself.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
And just carry this slower pace with you.
Into the rest of your day.
