If you want joy, power, peace, eternal life, you must get close to, or even into, the thing that has them.” -C. S. Lewis Join me on this rosary journey. This is Day 8 of our 9-Day Prayer Challenge.

Good morning.
God morning to you.
God is saying I have never left you and I have not failed you.
I hear every word,
Every prayer.
I know the desire of your heart.
It hasn't come to pass because it's not time.
It's here but it's not in time because you haven't felt it into time.
I gave you that desire but you have to believe it.
You have to fill it and you're either filling it or you're not.
You're either filling me or you're not.
Take your focus off yourself,
Off those words,
Off that seemingly unfulfilled prayer you've been praying and place it on me.
I'm wordless,
Nameless,
Formless and yet I can be sensed right there in your heart.
Place your right hand over your heart and tilt your head just a little bit to the right.
Just bringing your right ear a little bit closer to your right shoulder and listen.
Join your silence with mine.
Join your heart with mine.
All I know is love.
Join your breath with mine.
Breathing in for four and breathing out for four.
Counting inside at first.
Let me hear you.
And exhale for four.
And now continue breathing this way without counting.
Breathing silently.
When you're breathing like this it's not even breathing anymore,
It's loving.
It's praying.
It's being what you desire.
There.
Now it is time.
It's in time now.
Look for a sign.
Ask me for a sign and I will give you one today.
Ask me for more than a sign.
Ask me to show you progress.
And I will show you progress today.
But you have to stay like this.
It's like you have to stay on this track,
Hearing this song,
Feeling this way.
If you switch to a different song,
That old sad song,
That song where what you want is not there,
A song where you're still praying.
King David's prayer,
Lord bend down to listen to my prayer.
I am in deep trouble,
I am broken and humbled and I desperately need your help.
You'll stay like that.
This maya,
This illusion will keep that on loop.
Lack will be all you see.
Lack will be your dream,
Your nightmare.
But this song,
My song,
Is grace.
When your attention is not on yourself but on me,
You are in a state of grace.
When you come to me,
You are in a state of grace.
Coming to me is coming to this feeling.
Putting your focus on me is putting your focus on this feeling.
Even as things come up,
Even as pains come up and sorrows come up,
You ask yourself,
Where is my attention?
Where is my God?
Sometimes still,
I just take God's name and I chant it,
Not as if I'm invoking him or calling him in.
I'm just saying the name over and over again because it's a way to keep my attention on the love.
And so you can just say Jesus,
Jesus,
Jesus.
Whenever you notice worries,
Whenever you notice doubt,
Fear,
Anger,
Frustration,
Notice the name.
Notice what you do have instead of what you don't have.
Focus on love instead of that same old prayer,
Those same old problems.

Lewis says if you want to get warm,
You must stand near the fire.
If you want to be wet,
You must get into the water.
If you want joy,
Power,
Peace,
Eternal life,
You must get close to or even into the thing that has them.
You have to get into that name,
You have to put it on.
Clothe yourself with him,
With that feeling.
You have to wear that feeling until it becomes quite natural.
I rarely remember I'm wearing my rosary until something happens seemingly out here that gets me worried and I reach up and I grab for it.
I feel for it so I can remember to feel for love,
To feel for truth,
To take my focus off of the world and put it back on him.
That's grace.
Muji says grace is everything.
Grace is another name for what we are.
Grace is indefinable,
The ever-perfect,
Timeless.
It is that in which the apparent time full plays as names and forms and their brief dance as life.
We are the experience and simultaneously the witness of this experience.
Grace is that which calls you away from the chaos,
Away from the noise of the world.
Grace is the same as peace but there is no peacekeeper nor anyone being silent.
Grace is the breath of the self.
Jesus wants you to join your breath with his.
Nice and steady.
Calm and sure.
Let's pray day eight.
These are his words to your soul.
Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away on the flowing current of my grace.
Close your eyes and do not think of the present,
Turning your thoughts away from the future just as you would from temptation.
Repose in me,
Believing in my goodness and I promise you by my love that if you say you take care of it,
I will take care of it all.
I will console you,
Liberate you,
And guide you.
And now let us pray 10 times.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
Oh Jesus,
I surrender myself to you.
Take care of everything.
And now our concluding prayer.
Mother,
I am yours now and forever.
Through you and with you,
I always want to belong completely to Jesus.
Amen.
What brought you here,
To this moment,
To this podcast,
To this message of surrender,
Radical surrender,
Was grace.
I say pain that brings you closer to God will always be better than comfort that keeps you away from him.
Your breakthrough is here.
The light of God has broken through.
That's not anxiety you feel,
That's excitement for what is being revealed,
For what has been healed.
The Christ knows where our sufficiency is.
Be still and listen.
You may have all you need right beside you or you didn't even think of looking.
The fish you need will be sent to your nets.
That's all denninger.
Affirm that the fish I need will be sent to my nets.
Come Holy Spirit.
I was reading a book on the balcony yesterday called Come Holy Spirit and right after putting the book down and walking back in the house,
I looked back out towards the balcony and there was a dove right there on the railing and I have blackbirds that visit often because I feed them but never a dove and so I gently opened the door because I thought I'd scare it away and it did not fly away.
It looked right at me,
Kind of turned its head to the side and I went in and got food and I came back and it still didn't fly away and it looked at me again and it didn't take my food and it flew off like it was saying I have food you know not of.
You have resources that the world knows not of.
You didn't even know it but you do now.
Thank him.
Love him as he loves you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
And we'll chat soon.
