Let's take a moment today and talk just a bit about self-kindness.
You know,
We hear a lot of conversation around self-love and valuing yourself.
But what does that look like in real life?
And how do we practice it on a daily basis?
You know,
One of the most potent things that I've learned when it comes to self-love is just the gentle practice of being gentle.
Now,
What does that mean?
That means instead of saying to myself,
I am strong,
If I don't necessarily feel strong,
I can gently and lovingly say to myself,
I'm learning to be stronger every day.
Instead of maybe trying to make myself say,
I am powerful in a moment that I don't feel quite so powerful,
Then I can lovingly and gently say to myself,
I'm learning to become more powerful.
I'm practicing being more powerful.
I know being more powerful is available to me,
And I'm getting the hang of it bit by bit,
Step by step.
Just softening it,
Making it something that's easier to receive and easier to digest.
And so,
I encourage you today,
Take a moment,
Be gentle,
Be soft.
If you find yourself pushing yourself to accomplish something,
Take a moment and ask yourself,
Can I be a little gentler with myself here?
Can I be a little kinder to myself here?
Can I be a little softer to myself here?
What would it look like to show myself some compassion here?
Just a thought.
