Hi everyone,
My name's Anna.
Welcome to Yin for Deep Tissues.
For today.
All you'll need is your yoga mat.
Or something soft to lie on.
And if you have them to foam block.
But if you don't,
Sofa cushions are fine.
Like say.
Put one in.
When you're ready,
Please join me in simple cross legs on the floor.
I like to sit on a support as it helps me release my hips and thighs down but that's entirely up to you.
For cleaning.
Bring your palms to your knees,
Facing up.
Roll your shoulders up,
Back and down.
On your next exhalation,
Flutter your eyelids closed.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your chest with breath.
And as you exhale relax your shoulders down into your spine Inhale slowly,
Fully,
Deeply,
Filling your side ribs with breath.
And as you exhale.
Release your thighs down.
Inhale slowly,
Fully,
Deeply.
As you exhale,
Release your calves and your feet.
Breathe at your own pace.
On your next exhalation slowly.
Flutter your eyelids open.
When you're ready please join me in child's pose.
Can sit back on your heels,
Toes touching,
Knees hips width apart and lower your forehead and torso down.
Extend your arms out as you see fit.
Your next exhalation will move into sphinx pose.
So you can come up onto your palms and knees.
Extend your legs out.
Slowly lower your tummy down to the ground.
Resting on your forearms.
Try and be on the tops of your thighs.
One leg at a time.
You can roll your thighs outwards so you can be on your thick muscle of your thigh.
On the other leg.
It is pointing straight back.
Target area here is your lower back to feel a sense of compression Release your glute.
If you'd like more of a sensation.
You can Lift yourself up onto your palms,
Arms extended,
Shoulders rolling back.
But if not,
Resting on your forearms is fine.
Inhale into your back ribs.
On your next exhalation release and lower your forehead down onto your folded palms.
You can bend your knee.
And we'll gently windshield wipe our legs.
Slowly,
Softly,
Just to release our lower back.
When you're ready.
Release your legs and we'll come back into neutral spine tabletop.
We'll take a toes tucked under child's pose.
It's a little left field but We'll try it soon.
Tuck your toes under.
If your balls of your feet can touch that's great but if not We're working with what our bodies are doing today so it's absolutely fine.
Release your glutes back onto your heels.
Target area here is you guessed it the soles of your feet.
You'll feel a very beautiful,
Strong stretch in them.
Lower your forehead down As you exhale,
Relax your arms and shoulders.
Your weight might want to come back forward into them.
But try and just let your weight go back into your glutes.
If this is really too much,
Feel free to do ordinary child's pose where you're not on the balls of your feet,
But on the tops of your feet.
Your next exhalation.
Release.
Your feet come back into tabletop.
Let your feet be.
And we'll move into Malasana.
Don't squash.
I like to use a block for this,
Just for support.
If you're fine.
Just heels on the ground.
That's cool too.
But if you'd like to try with the bluff.
Fart.
Bottom half of your heel,
So from here.
Is on the edge of your block.
Not the center of your foot.
Edge of your heel.
Turn and lift it up.
Target area here is your glutes and the backs of your thighs.
Bring your weight back in your heels,
Especially if you're on the support.
Inhale slowly,
Fully,
Deeply.
Exhale,
Let yourself feel weighted.
Roll your shoulders up,
Back and down.
Lift your sternum tall.
Your next exhalation release using your palms for support.
And we'll take a very soft dog.
Come to tabletop,
Tuck your toes under,
Lift your hips up.
Bring your weight back into your heels so you feel a beautiful stretch in your calves.
And if you like you can paddle your feet.
We do one more either side.
When you're ready,
Join me in Child's Pose.
We'll take thread the needle in child's pose.
On your ribs.
Frontal on your side.
Bring your right arm under your left shoulder armpit.
Release your neck and head down.
Target area is.
Your shoulder blades and your shoulders.
If you'd like more of an opening,
You can bring your left hand over to your right as you tilt your shoulder blades up.
But try and keep your glutes even on your heels.
So just your shoulders tilt upwards Your next exhalation release.
Slowly.
And we'll change to the other side.
We lift arm under,
Right armpit and shoulder,
Right arm extended.
Nation does for you.
Right arm over to the left.
Tilting your shoulders up.
Glutes even on your heels.
In your next exhalation.
Slowly,
Really,
There is no rush at all.
Come back to Child's Pose,
Neutral spine.
Take three full,
Deep breaths here,
Filling your lungs and chest and ribs with breath.
Exhale as slowly as possible.
Exhalation,
Slowly raise yourselves up.
And We will take square pose.
If you're fine sitting on the ground for this,
Perfect.
I generally take a support.
So,
You can join me.
For tea?
Amen.
Or take.
And where right foot under our leg.
Bring it to.
Your outer love.
I always cradle my foot to bring it across,
But if you've got more flexibility you can just bring it across.
I don't.
All gently.
Bring my egg.
Left foot as close as possible to my right hip.
Roll your shoulders up,
Back and down.
Target area here is our outer thighs,
Our outer hips.
On your next exhalation,
You can release.
We will change to the other side.
Left foot under right.
To your right waist.
Cradle your right foot over.
Shoulders up,
Back and down.
Spine up tall.
Exhale,
Close your eyes and release.
On your next exhalation,
Release.
And we'll lie on our back.
Knees bent,
Foot flat on the ground.
Surely,
Feel your spine settle into the ground.
Lock your pelvis in so your sacrum can go under and you can feel Root fully your whole spine on the ground.
Release your now.
On your next exhalation,
Bring your knees into your chest.
Give them a lovely hug and you can rock if you like.
Lift your feet flat on the ground.
Interlace your fingers,
Right thumb on top.
Turn your palms up to the ceiling.
Lower your arms over your head,
Stretching them away.
Lying on the ground.
Release.
Change the interlace of your finger,
Left thumb on top.
Palms pushed up in a way towards the ceiling and over your head.
Baddhanguliyasana.
And release.
Bring your palms to the side.
You can shuffle your hips over to one side.
We're going to take a twist.
Hook your knees into your chest,
Arms in a T or cactus.
Drop your knees over to the side.
If you like,
You can turn your head to the opposite side for a twist.
Your next exhalation.
Bring your head to neutral.
Lift your knees up.
You can place your feet down,
Shuffle your hips over to the other side.
Bend your knees in.
Too raw.
Them down.
Turn your head to the opposite side.
Your next exhalation,
Slowly lift your chin to neutral,
Knees up.
Feet fast on the ground,
Flat I should say.
Let your spine just rest in neutral.
It's so easy to.
.
.
Want to go to the next thing,
The next thing.
Well,
For me it is.
Neutral is underrated.
On your next exhalation.
Bring your palms to your sides.
Extend your legs out straight,
One at a time.
Let your feet flop to the side.
Shavasana.
Let your body be heavy.
With your shoulders,
Arms.
Abdomen,
Spine.
Thighs,
Calves,
Curve.
Relax your tongue.
Separate your teeth.
Let your jaw relax.
On your next exhalation.
Bring the soles of your feet to the ground.
Bring your knees into your chest.
Bring your arm up to your ear,
Slowly roll to the side.
Pause.
When you're ready,
You can sit yourself up.
And join me in simple cross legs.
Palms on your knees facing up.
Or in prayer position.
With my palms in prayer position,
I bow to you.
That's all for today.
Thank you so much for being here.
Until next time.
