This is Coach Tan with a meditation.
The story I'm going to share with you all today is the story of the Rainbow Crow.
Let's take a deep breath in and let it out slowly.
Allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to unclench,
And your mind to be quiet.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Supporting you fully.
Now,
Close your eyes and imagine a long time ago when the world was still young,
The animals lived in harmony.
It was one winter,
Snow began to fall and fall and fall.
The earth grew cold and white and the animals shivered,
Unsure of how they would survive.
They gathered together and decided someone must travel to the creator to ask for help.
One by one,
The animals hesitated,
Except for the crow.
Back then,
The crow's feathers shimmered with every color of the rainbow and their voice was the most beautiful of all the birds.
With courage in their hearts,
That rainbow crow rose into the sky,
Flying higher and higher,
All the way to the creator.
There,
The creator listened with love,
With compassion.
To help the animals,
The creator gave the crow a gift.
That gift was fire,
A burning stick glowing with warmth,
Light,
And life.
The crow carried the flame back through the heavens,
Flying tirelessly towards the earth.
But as the crow flew,
The smoke darkened,
Their feathers once radiant into deep black.
The heat scorched their beautiful voice until only the harsh caw remained.
At last,
The crow bringing fire to the animals so that they could have warmth and light and survival through the winter.
Though the crow had lost its rainbow colors and the sweet song,
The creator blessed them with something greater,
Freedom.
Because of sacrifice,
The crow would never be hunted or caged.
The crow became the symbol of selflessness and courage and transformation.
Now breathe deeply and imagine yourself surrounded by that sacred fire.
Feel its warmth on your skin.
See the flickering light illuminating your path.
Know that like the rainbow crow,
You have within your power to transform challenges into gifts and sacrifices into blessings.
Now take another deep breath in and carry the wisdom of the rainbow crow with you.
That true beauty lies not just in how we shine but in how we give,
How we grow,
And how we serve others.
When you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Return to this moment renewed,
Resilient,
And radiant just like the crow.
Now it is your time to fly.
Thank you for listening today.
