Hello everyone,
This is Coach Tan and today's meditation will be carrying the dawn through darkness.
And as always,
We will be using a native story to help inspire us and guide us through a journey of hope and light.
First,
Let's find a comfortable place to sit to relax our bodies.
Close your eyes gently.
Let your breath arrive like soft footsteps returning home.
Now,
Let's inhale slowly through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Each breath is a release.
Each breath is a returning.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Steady,
Ancient,
Holding you just as the earth holds every seed waiting for spring.
Relax your shoulders.
Let your stomach now soften.
Feel your jaw,
Unclench your jaw.
Allow the weight of the world slide down your back and rest on the earth for a while.
You don't have to carry everything right now.
Just your breath,
Your presence.
Inhale and exhale.
You are here and that is enough.
Now,
Let us imagine you are standing in an open field at twilight.
Tall grass brushes against your ankles.
The sky is painted in deep purples and soft blues.
Day giving way to night.
A stillness hangs in the air.
It is beautiful,
Yet it is heavy.
You feel the presence of the land around you.
The breath of the earth beneath your feet.
The quiet wisdom held in the stones and in the trees.
The ancient heartbeat of the world pulsing softly under the fading light.
There is darkness here,
But not danger.
Not despair.
Just the hush of a world waiting.
Waiting for breath.
Waiting for light.
Waiting for hope.
In this quiet twilight,
You see a small figure sitting cross-legged in the grass.
It is a young boy,
Gentle and calm.
Eyes lifted toward the first star rising.
This is Tawa,
The boy who carries dawn inside him.
Around him the world has dimmed.
People have grown quiet.
Hearts feel heavy.
Even the rivers seem to sigh.
Maybe you know this feeling.
Times when hope feels thin.
Times when the world feels tired.
Times when your own light feels small.
Sit beside Tawa now.
Feel the stillness surrounding him.
Steady,
Patient,
And strong.
A soft breeze stirs in the grass.
Wings rustle above.
An old eagle lands nearby.
Feathers silver under moonlight.
Eyes wise and steady.
It looks at you.
It looks at Tawa.
Not with questions,
But knowing.
In the hush of the evening,
A voice soft as wind through cedar reaches you.
Shadows come so we may remember our light.
Hope is the fire the night cannot swallow.
Feel those words settle into your heart.
Into the places that have known heaviness.
Into the places still learning to trust the dawn.
Shadows come so we may remember our light.
Hope is the fire the night cannot swallow.
The eagle spreads its wings and lifts into the sky.
Rising not because the world is bright,
But because the wings are meant to rise.
And you breathe in and out.
Letting those words echo gently inside you.
Shadows come so we may remember our light.
Hope is the fire the night cannot swallow.
The boy beside you places a hand on his chest over his heart.
You do the same.
There beneath your palm is warmth.
Soft ember,
A quiet spark.
Maybe it has felt small at times.
Maybe life has dimmed it.
Maybe storms have tried to put it out.
But it has never gone out.
Breathe gently into that space.
Inhale,
Feeding the ember.
Exhale,
Releasing the doubt and releasing fear.
With every breath,
Feel light growing.
Slowly,
Naturally.
Like sunrise stretching across a sleeping sky.
Tower whispers,
Hope lives where we feed it.
Let that truth settle.
Let it root.
You do not need blinding brightness.
You only need a spark and the willingness to tend it.
Now,
Imagine Tawa walking through his village.
He smiles softly at someone tired and their spirit lifts.
He tells a gentle story to someone sad and their breath deepens.
He shares warmth and light.
Gathers around him like dawn arriving early.
Hope moves like that.
Quietly,
Steadily,
One heart at a time.
And now your heart too.
Place both hands on your heart now.
Feel the life beneath your palms.
With each breath,
Imagine this light growing.
Breathe in hope.
It is warm and soft,
Rising like the morning.
Breathe out the heaviness.
Let the earth take what you no longer need.
Again,
Breathe in hope.
Warm,
Soft,
Rising like the morning.
Breathe out the heaviness.
Let the earth take what you no longer need.
Inhale light.
Exhale release.
Inhale belief.
Exhale fear.
Inhale I am growing.
Exhale I am safe.
Feel the gentle warmth spreading through your chest,
Your ribs,
Your throat,
Your face,
Your whole being.
You are tending to dawn inside yourself.
Now the stars above you shimmer like a thousand tiny fires.
A reminder even the night sky is built of light.
The horizon glows faintly,
The first hint of morning.
Not rushed,
Not forced.
Light comes with hearts are ready to see again.
Tawa looks up at you smiling softly.
Even the smallest flame can lead the sun home.
You feel this truth in your bones.
You carry dawn,
You carry hope.
Even when days are heavy.
Even when life feels dim.
This light lives inside you.
Breathe it in.
Feel its warmth.
Know its strength.
When you are ready.
Now let's begin to feel our fingers.
Our toes.
Let's roll your shoulders gently back.
Invite movement back into your body.
Let your next breath be full.
Let your exhale be soft.
Then slowly tenderly open your eyes.
And softly.
Or aloud inside your heart.
Let's say I carry light within me.
I honor hope even in darkness.
I rise.
Thank you for joining me today on this meditation.
Namaste.
