Welcome to this meditation.
Today we're looking at loss of motivation and we're going to gently work to reclaim that.
It's a gentle reset for when your energy is feeling particularly low.
So find a comfortable seated or lying position and allow your body to settle back.
Take a slow steady breath in and gently breathe it out.
If you find your motivation has been feeling low you're not alone.
Sometimes when we've been carrying a lot for a long time the system can become depleted and tired.
So this meditation today isn't about pushing yourself,
It's about meeting yourself with a little kindness.
Begin by noticing your breath,
Its natural rhythm into your body and out again.
Notice this simple fact that your body is still breathing for you,
Even on difficult days,
Even when energy feels low,
Even when motivation seems to have disappeared.
Your breath continues quietly supporting you.
Now bring awareness to the center of your chest.
You might imagine a gentle steady light shining there,
Nothing too bright but just a soft glow.
It's a quiet sense of life still present within you.
Even if motivation is feeling distant right now,
This small light is still there.
Your system still knows how to begin again.
Sometimes motivation doesn't necessarily come first.
Sometimes it arrives after a small step is taken.
Maybe a breath,
Maybe a pause,
Maybe a few minutes with this meditation.
So for now we're not asking for big changes,
Just gentle willingness to take things one small moment at a time.
With your next breath in,
Imagine the light growing just a tiny bit brighter,
Not forced but just gently nourished.
And as you breathe out,
Allow your body to soften a little more.
You breathe in a little space.
You breathe out a little ease.
All the while that little light is growing just a bit brighter.
You don't have to solve everything today.
You don't need a huge burst of motivation.
Even the smallest of steps is sometimes enough to get back on the right track.
Maybe just getting up,
Maybe just sending one message,
Maybe just taking care of your body for a few minutes.
All these small steps still count.
Allow your breath to continue to move in its quiet rhythm.
And imagine that the small light in your chest is continuing now to glow steadily.
This is a reminder that your energy can return in its own time.
Your motivation can return in its own time.
There is nothing wrong with moving gently or rebuilding slowly.
So for now,
Simply breathe.
Allow the body and mind a moment of steadiness.
And when you leave this meditation,
See if there is one small kind step that you might like to take next.
Just one.
That will be enough for today.
Open your eyes gently when you're ready.
And have a lovely stretch into your body if that feels nice for you.
And move back into your day or your evening one step at a time.
Thank you for allowing me to guide you today.
