Welcome to today's meditation where we will drop out of our head and our overthinking back into our body for a moment of relaxation and peace.
So take a moment to get comfortable either sitting or lying down anywhere you feel safe and if it feels right for you gently let your eyes close.
Let your hands come to rest on your body maybe one hand over your chest and one hand over your belly or anywhere that feels natural for you and take a soft breath in and slowly breathe out.
No need to change anything just noticing your breath as it is and feel the air as it moves in through your nose and out through your mouth or your nose wherever feels comfortable.
Letting your awareness settle on the rhythm of your breath and how your chest gently rises and falls and now see if you can bring your awareness to your lower back.
Breathing gently into the base of your spine into your seat and into the support beneath you and feel the contact between your body and what's holding you.
A chair,
A bed,
The floor,
The earth and now let's turn towards the heart space bringing your attention to the center of your chest placing a hand here perhaps and notice how your breath moves into this space expanding it opening it.
Feel as the breath touches your heart not just your physical heart but the space within you that feels and there's no need to rush just take your time to breathe here gently noticing whatever is present any feelings sensations or simply stillness and if it feels right begin to let your body move in any way that it wants maybe a stretch a shift in posture or a deep sigh from within.
Let your body guide you there's no right or wrong only what feels natural for your body in this moment and now let's travel lower bringing your breath down into the hips and the belly and the pelvic space and feel free to move gently maybe a subtle sway or a small circle of the hips as you let your awareness simply rest here with no judgments and now if it feels right I invite you to ask yourself a question just see what arises naturally no need to look for an answer body what do you need today and whatever comes is welcome a word a feeling an image or maybe nothing at all body what do you need today and when you feel ready begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you wiggle your fingers wiggle your toes and taking your time to rest in this moment and whenever you're ready whenever it feels right slowly open your eyes and come back into the day
