Hi.
I am so happy you are here today.
You have chosen you.
Yes.
I am Cheryl J.
I like to put an O-Y at the end because I am affirming my joy and I'm sharing it with you today.
Yes,
I have been a mental health therapist for well over a decade.
But I'm really excited,
Most excited about the Insight Timer,
The community,
Because you have blessed my soul in so many ways that I cannot even explain.
All good.
And so I am here to share a very important topic.
Self-love.
I believe it's one of the most important topics they are.
Also,
We're going to talk about the barrier to self-love.
Muchos.
Self-criticism.
We don't want that.
That's not for our highest good.
So let's get into it.
Self-love.
The way that you see yourself determines the way you see the world.
It determines the way you move in your world,
And it determines who you allow in your world.
So your view of you is running your show,
Whether you know it or not.
And there are a lot of reasons why.
Our perspective is the way that it is.
But we're gonna talk about just the one.
But let me tell you.
The benefits of having a increased self-love meter?
Is that you can live your life on purpose.
You will live your life intentionally.
You can have the joy you want in your life.
You can have the freedom you want in your life.
You can decide what people you want in your life.
Yeah.
And you can stop.
Number two.
Try to perform for your value and your worth.
Because.
Your word.
Is already set.
From the day you came here.
You have been assigned a mission to love you.
That's your mission.
Yes.
And you have a rightful place in this great,
Beautiful world of the Universe Collective.
You have a place here.
And so I want you to live it with everything that you have.
I want you to do it with joy and excitement.
You deserve that.
And so increasing your self-love meter will give you the ability to be free and to do just that.
So hold on for a moment,
We'll come back to that.
But I wanna talk about the self-criticism.
What does that sound like?
And what is that about?
Self-criticism.
Just a negative.
Cognitive distortions,
We call it.
That wrecks your life.
I mean,
It really robs from you.
Messages like.
.
.
Girl,
You need to keep going,
Because you,
I don't even know if you're going to make it,
But just keep trying.
Harder,
Harder,
Harder.
Keep grinding.
Keep hustling.
Those messages says,
You know what?
You're just not good enough.
You're just not going to be able to do it.
Just accept it.
Those messages that make you just feel frustrated and down on yourself.
And you just don't know where to go with that.
You feel defeated.
Sometimes when people feel so bad,
They just feel like they just can't quite get it right.
You know where to go right.
Mhm.
Comparison.
They start looking all around and looking at other people and questioning themselves even more and just digging a deeper,
Deeper hole.
I don't want that for you.
Sometimes those negative messages comes from experiences that we have in life or we've had in life that we felt like,
Man,
I could have done better.
Why did I have that person in my life?
Or,
You know,
Why did I make this decision to take this job?
You know,
We're just so hard on ourselves.
Sometimes it's from our family systems.
Maybe they're not ill will intended for,
To make you feel bad or to make you feel like you weren't enough.
But sometimes that gets through.
But I'm here to tell you that you don't have to keep that.
You don't have to keep that negative core messages.
You can change them.
It's your choosing.
Yes,
You can.
So let's talk about The good stuff.
The anecdotes.
Let's talk about the antidotes for increasing your self-love meter,
Because we want to do that.
Self-compassion.
What,
Cheryl?
Self-compassion.
Haven't that love for yourself?
That's where it starts.
When you love you.
You know you?
When you accept you.
Then that's where the games begin.
That's when the good times start to roll,
Yeah.
So yeah.
And what this really means is that I'm asking you to embrace your uniqueness.
Will you embrace you?
And you take all the time that you have spent in trying to prove who you are.
And when we remove that.
.
.
And we put in,
This is who I am.
And I accept me and I love me.
The end.
We can begin to increase that self-love meter.
We can begin to have fun in life.
Yes,
Joyfully.
So what I'm going to do is give you just a little assignment here,
Because you know it's not going to happen overnight.
This mind,
This brain has been programmed.
To make us hustle and try harder and do better.
And we've told it that we have to compare ourselves.
And we've told it,
You know,
That,
You know,
We just got to keep going.
So we got to reframe all of that.
Yep.
That's gotta go.
And so what we're gonna do.
Is we're going to create a ritual,
A daily ritual that says,
Hey,
I'm going to choose.
To reframe the messages that put me down.
That make me sad.
That makes me feel defeated.
I'm going to observe them.
So I'm not so connected to them.
I'm gonna.
.
.
Step back a little bit.
And I'm gonna say.
.
.
No more.
No more performance.
No more comparisons.
No more criticism.
But what I will do.
We're going to put a positive.
Healthy.
Happy message in this place.
That's it.
I am giving myself permission.
To grow.
What?
Yeah.
I am giving myself permission to learn.
More about me.
So if you're learning.
You not worried about failing?
You're not worrying about not getting it right,
Because you're learning,
Right?
You're not worrying about what someone else is doing because they're learning and doing their thing.
You are solely focused on you.
That's exactly what I'm asking you to do.
I'm asking you to focus on you.
I want you to greet each day.
Because it is as a day you have never seen before.
And I want you to give yourself an opportunity to learn.
Not to be perfect,
Not to worry about failure.
It was not about getting nothing right.
We're not doing that.
We're just going to say,
Guess what?
I was going to say my name.
Cheryl?
Good morning.
This is your day today.
You have a lot of gifts inside of you,
A lot of talents and a lot of abilities.
And so I want you to try it out.
Have fun!
See what's in there?
That's what I'm asking you to do.
Every day.
Give yourself permission to grow.
And to learn about you.
It's exciting.
And at the end of the night.
.
.
If you have a time and you have the opportunity,
Write down what you learned about you.
Just one,
Two,
Three things.
Whatever that may be,
That you learned about you when you took off all the.
Ugh,
Heaviness.
The big load!
The comparison!
The people.
.
.
The past judgement.
And you dropped all that criticism.
You let that go.
That means you are now free.
To live you.
Your unique you.
And I am so excited to hear all about it.
So you have your assignment.
Let me know how it works for you.
I already know how it does.
But I want to hear about your personal experiences.
Self love.
Versus.
Self-criticism.
Who's?
The real.
Winner.
The real winner?
Is you.
So go love you.
Thank you so much.
I'll be back.
And I look forward to hearing from you.
