EJ 9-1-1,

Captain speaking.

Hmm,

I see.

That does sound unsettling.

An old hotel,

Ghostly phenomena,

And trapped guests?

Absolutely.

We take every call seriously.

No,

Don't attempt to put the ghost on the phone,

I believe you.

Yes,

We'll handle it from here.

Thank you for alerting us.

We're on it.

Transferring to dispatch.

Hiro,

The situation at Old Dormir Inn appears quite spooky.

Apparently,

The old inn isn't just a name.

The inn is quite old,

Like over a century old from the records that Roger Robot dug up.

Reports indicate that numerous guests are experiencing supernatural phenomena,

Seeing operations and experiencing eerie,

Inexplicable cold spots.

They're unable to leave due to mysterious forces locking down the hotel.

The exits have somehow been sealed by these forces,

Confining everyone inside,

And no amount of battering from their battering ram.

Wait,

Huh?

Who has a battering ram at an inn?

Dormir is surely strange,

To say the least.

I'll activate the spectral scanners and set up a paranormal activity console to monitor the disturbances closely.

Prepare for a ghostly encounter,

Hiro.

Boo.

I'm just kidding.

OK,

I know.

That wasn't funny.

We have real ghosts here that I don't want to make angry with my bad ghost impressions.

It's getting cold over here,

Too.

I got to check for ghosts at the command center.

I got to split.

Keep your eyes peeled out there,

Hiro.

EJ.

Captain EJ and Hiro to the rescue.

Let's begin.

You are here,

Standing alongside Captain EJ as we once again enter the city limits of Dormir,

A place that seems to take up more and more of our time.

We stand back and lay our eyes upon the formidable silhouette of the old Dormir Inn.

When Mr.

Honeybee sent the mission brief over to our Battle Buzz helmets,

I assumed,

Perhaps naively,

That we'd be visiting a ramshackle,

Dilapidated old lodge that has fallen into despair.

We feast our eyes on anything but the latest in an unending stream of surprises from the town of Dormir.

The old inn rises majestically against the backdrop of a starless night.

It has pointed gothic spires that cut through the mist like ancient monoliths.

Moonlight is the only thing that shines against its stone facade.

Even at high noon,

This place would look haunted.

But at night,

Eerie shadows come out from their hiding places and dance across the crumbling masonry.

As we approach the massive front doors,

Carved with the intricate faces of forgotten deities,

A chill sweeps over us,

Not from the cold,

But from what lies within.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

Envision the energy of an old,

Wise entity holding centuries of secrets,

Ready to unfold them before us.

Then slowly breathe all the way out through your mouth.

Stepping into the inn's magnificent lobby,

The grandeur of a bygone era surrounds us.

Dormir looks like a long-forgotten frontier town from those old Western movies.

But this,

This is downright fancy.

Opulent tapestries hang from the walls,

Depicting scenes of lavish festivities now silenced by time.

The air is heavy,

Scented with the musk of aged wood and the faint aroma of lilac,

Perhaps a lingering trace of the perfumes once worn by the ritzy travelers who waltzed in here.

Each step on the marble floor echoes through the vast emptiness,

A sound as isolated as the inn itself.

Our investigation begins at the heart of the hotel's mysteries,

The recently restored ballroom reputed to be the epicenter of the ghostly disturbances.

Guests have reported seeing visions of Victorian-era figures,

Hearing disembodied laughter,

And witnessing spectral dances that end as abruptly as they begin.

These spirits seem tethered to specific artifacts and renovations,

Suggesting a deep unrest tied to the inn's history.

Inside the ballroom,

The air shifts.

Chandeliers tremble lightly as if stirred by invisible breath.

The mirrors along the walls not only reflect our forms,

But occasionally,

Fleetingly,

Those of others.

Figures dressed in old-fashioned garb fading in and out of view with forlorn expressions trapped in an eternal soiree.

The temperature drops near these mirrors,

A palpable coldness that seems to suck the warmth from the air.

Take another slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

Feel the cold air,

Even colder,

Coming in through your nose and expanding your chest filled with invisible life force.

Then slowly breathe all the way out through your mouth.

And continue walking in the way we do,

Moving forward,

But each having the other's back for a strategic 360-degree view.

We always seem to have to watch our back in Dormir,

Don't we?

What is it about this place?

Armed with Mr.

Honeybee's cutting-edge spectral technology,

We set out to decipher these anomalies.

The Paranormal Activity Console,

A network of screens and sensors that appears in the periphery of our vision with the Battle Bus helmet,

Illuminates with a spectral light as it begins to track the movements of these apparitions.

The spectral scanners,

Resembling small luminous drones,

Whirr softly as they drift through the room.

Their sensors flickering as they map out zones of high ectoplasmic activity.

Captain,

Hiro,

The initial scans are showing layers of spectral energy densely woven into the ballroom's fabric.

It appears the renovation work has inadvertently disturbed these resting spirits.

You need to deploy the spectral harmonizers to ease this unrest.

Can you see what we're seeing,

Mr.

H?

Yes and no.

Huh?

How can it be both?

Well,

I can see what you're seeing,

But I'm covering my eyes because I do not like scary movies when they're made of movie magic,

No less in real life with my best friends.

Tell me when it's OK to look.

No one can do what you do,

Mr.

Honeybee.

Even with your eyes covered,

You've made an excellent observation.

We'll get this settled so you can resume your vision.

Let's set up the harmonizers.

They'll emit a frequency that soothes the spectral energies,

Helping to calm the unrest and perhaps communicate our intentions of peace.

As the harmonizers begin their work,

A remarkable transformation unfolds.

We can hardly believe our eyes.

The spectral figures start to appear less agitated,

Their movements slowing as if lulled by a gentle melody only they can hear.

The laughter and cries that once echoed off the walls diminish,

And a serene quietude begins to reclaim the ballroom.

Do you feel the air getting warmer,

Hero?

The cold seems to be related to the spirit's unrest.

The echoes of the past fade into a peaceful silence,

And the old dormier inn's own spirit seems to sigh in relief.

With the ghostly phenomena under control and the spirits appeased,

The inn slowly returns to normal with a shocking amount of people coming and going in no time.

Guests cautiously step out from their rooms,

Their faces subtly changing from fear to relief as they gather in a now peaceful lobby.

Smiles begin to replace the looks of horror,

And the staff resume their duties,

Grateful for the return of calm.

It's remarkable that such an old place is still so active.

I wonder how old this place is.

It seems the old dormier inn is 400 years old.

Wait,

Mr.

Honeybee,

Did you read my mind?

What?

Huh?

What now?

Roger.

Roger,

Robot.

Turn it off.

Turn the prototype off.

I accidentally responded.

Turn it off.

Hero,

Our mission here is complete.

We've solved the mystery of the old dormier inn,

But another mystery has cropped up.

Mr.

H is being awfully suspicious.

I think a little testing session is due soon.

If he's gonna read my mind with prototypes,

The least he could do is not mind when we slip in and fire him up.

But seriously,

We calmed the restless spirits and ensured the safety of all within these walls.

Another day,

Another spectral challenge overcome.

As we leave the inn and dormier to its newfound peace,

Remember that bravery isn't just about facing danger.

It's also about understanding and compassion for the unseen.

Until next time,

Keep your heart brave and your mind open.

And keep an eye on Mr.

Honeybee.

I sense an epic prank coming soon.

EJ.

That concludes our adventure.

I can't wait to see you again.

Captain EJ,

Over and out.
