Welcome.
This is a guided meditation for grounding in times of change.
For the next few moments give yourself permission to step away from the noise of your day.
You have nowhere to be and nothing to do you don't even need to feel a certain way this is simply a quiet space to pause,
To breathe and to return to yourself and let this practice meet you exactly as you are.
Take a moment to settle now into a position that feels steady and supported Maybe you're sitting in a chair with your feet firmly planted on the ground maybe you're sitting on a cushion maybe you're lying down on the earth.
Wherever you are,
Let your hands rest easily.
And if it feels comfortable to do so close the eyes or soften the gaze and begin by noticing that you have arrived Simply allow yourself to be here.
Notice the points where your body meets the surface beneath you perhaps your feet on the floor.
Your legs supported.
Perhaps your back is resting against a chair or your whole body is held by the ground beneath you Feel the quiet certainty of that support.
You do not need to hold yourself let yourself be held here now gently bring your attention to your breath there's no need to change it Simply notice where you feel it most clearly.
Perhaps at the nostrils or in the chest or in the gentle rise and fall of the belly wherever it is.
Let this place be an anchor.
Somewhere you can return to whenever the mind wanders.
And if it feels comfortable now Allow the exhalations to become a little longer and softer.
Breathing in naturally through the nose and breathing out slowly,
Releasing the jaw the shoulders and the belly and stay here with a few easy breaths moving in your own natural rhythm hen.
And out and bring awareness down towards your feet.
Notice any sensation.
Maybe pressure tingling any warmth or coolness or perhaps very little sensation at all.
Just notice and sense the steadiness of the ground beneath them if you are seated.
And if you are lying down feeling that sense of steadiness in the spine rootedness.
Imagining roots extending gently from either the soles of your feet into the air or if you are lying down from the spine into the air.
With each exhalation feeling those roots settling a little deeper into the earth beneath you with awareness from the feet.
Letting this awareness travel slowly upwards through the legs the head.
The base of the spine.
Feeling the center of the body becoming steady and stable Noticing the back of the body,
Strong,
Broad and supported.
And the front of the body soft Open.
Expansive and as you rest here rooted and grounded we stand at the threshold of a new season around the autumn equinox.
Light and dark meet in near balance.
I'll invite you to imagine yourself standing quietly at that threshold.
Rooted like a tree above you,
The branches may move with the changing air but beneath you,
The roots remain steady you can move and still be grounded you can change and still belong to yourself inviting into your mind.
If there is anything that you might be carrying right now.
That does not need your attention plan a worry an expectation and you don't need to push it away but simply place it beside you for these few moments gently as a leaf settling on the ground.
Notice the space that becomes available when you loosen your hold.
Repeating silently to yourself breathing in,
I find steadiness Breathing out I soften breathing in rooted.
Breathing out Open.
Letting these words slowly fade and rest here in the feeling of balance and steadiness rooted and supported.
When you are ready begin to deepen the breath welcoming a little more energy into the body Maybe wiggling the fingers and the toes.
And feeling the full shape of yourself here Subscribe and date below.
And spacious above if your eyes are closed Beginning to open them gently and allow the light to return gradually.
Before you move on with your day take one final breath in and as you breathe out let this intention settle I am rooted.
I am supported.
I trust the ground beneath me and the wisdom within me I welcome change with steadiness.
Openness.
And calm strength wherever this season leads I carry my sensor with me.
And letting these words rest within you.
And carrying this grounded presence with you into the rest of your day.
Thank you for joining me.
I'll see you next time.
Namaste.
